Ever since he was named one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch” in 2011, Mark Normand has been killing it on both the stand-up circuit and the small screen. Normand’s disarmingly low-key demeanor and deadpan delivery make his razor-sharp jokes all the more incisive, and he always leaves ticket buyers in stitches at his uproarious live shows. Normand loves to perform, sometimes booking up to five gigs a night, and his passion is immediately apparent as he rattles off one hilarious anecdote after another. Whether he’s lampooning the peculiar tradition of bathroom attendants or poking fun at his own Jewishness, Normand is a top-notch talent who always brings the laughs.
Mark Normand grew up and attended university in New Orleans before dropping out and moving to New York City to study filmmaking. He started doing open mic nights while in school, and after graduating he began pursuing comedy full time. He got a big break in 2011 when Comedy Central named him a “Comic to Watch” during the New York Comedy Festival, and the following year he was named one of Esquire Magazine’s “Best New Comedians of 2012”. Since then he’s landed numerous TV roles including appearances on Conan, Inside Amy Schumer, and Last Comic Standing. In 2014 he released his debut album Still Got It on Comedy Central Records. Chock-full of edgy bits on topics like “The Gays”, “Jews”, and “Religion”, the album is a comedic tour-de-force that promises big things from Normand in the future.
