Great game! However, as the season opener there wasn't a whole lot of excitement. The half-time show was boring but it did give you enough time to use the restroom and buy stuff from the concession stand. The Old School crew was awesome and the kids dance crew was cute!

    Sparks Sparkle

by Mielee on 9/1/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

Despite the fact that the Sparks couldn't beat the Storm this was a fun event to attend. I had never been to a Sparks game and really enjoyed seeing them play. I intend to attend more games in the future and bring my husband and granddaughter along.

    Sparks game was awesome

Love Sparks basketball. Everyone is friendly. Although the greeters outside and security could be a bit more friendly.

    great game: Sparks vs Mercury

by Anonymous on 8/18/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

The game was great and with very affordable ticket prices I was able to get great seats for my sister, mom, and I. My issue with the evening was with the family sitting in front of us. They had a young girl with them, who would not sit still and made difficult to watch the action when they came down the to basket that was in front the Sparks bench. The parents seem oblivious to her and let her do what she wanted. I felt that I did not get full pleasure of my ticket. I would like to suggest maybe having the ushers come by every once in a while and ensure people are not bouncing around in their seeats making harder those behind them to enjoy the game.

    Played hard, but lost.

by LAFan82 on 8/11/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

I guess the Eastern Champs were too much for the Sparks. Too many turn overs and missed shots.

    SPARKS WIN!

by newSparksFan on 8/5/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

I took my family to our first ever WNBA game -- SPARKS vs SKY. Not a huge follower of the women's game, I didn't know exactly what to expect. However, my eldest daughter now 8 is a huge hoops fan and has being playing since she was 5. Fgured it would be good to have her see a professional women's game in person to see the difference between the ladies and the men (NBA). My daughter loved it! The action was great, the teams ran plays that my daughter could follow, overall an entertaining game! The crowd was supportive and the Staples staff definitely more laid back and interacted with the fans more than if it were a Lakers or Clippers game - appropriate for event and definitely a plus for the overall experience! ...and the SPARKS pulled out a victory in what was a fairly close game throughout!

    Camp Day

by CoachP on 7/22/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

The game experience was great for my 2-year old daughter and I. She loves basketball and I even met # 45 Noelle Quinn mother and sister. I hope that she will be able to come out after the season to speak with my varsity girls at New Millennium Secondary School in Carson ( third year charter school). The overtime excitement was great and wished I would of brought my whole team again as I did when they played for the first time at the Home Depot Center in Carson and last season for Lisa Leslie's last home game. Or was it her second to last home game...I believe it was her last, which was a great event as well. My point guard thinks Noelle Quinn is a great player and was amazed that I ranned into her mother and her sister. I was sad that I did not have a card on me to pass to them. She has a beautiful family. Looking forward to attending a few more games this season. Lastly, it was great to see so many kids in attendance and to hear how loud they were in cheering for their sparks. It was a great feeling and I know they have inspired many that day and many to want to be a Ladies Spark one day in their future.

This was an excellent divisional basketball game-played hard with all the true competitiveness of a division rivalry. Well worth the price of admission and then some- great atmosphere at the Staples Center-plus Seattle came to play--

Great atmosphere for all, especially kids!

by Anonymous on 7/4/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

I have to hand it to the Sparks - they know how to make the atmosphere comfortable with lots of goodies, t-shirts, energy, music, etc. for the kids. Feels very community-oriented, and the players, for both teams, really put on a great game. This is how professional sports should be, especially for the kids, kind of like what baseball used to be! I wish more were in attendance, but still not bad for not a lot of exposure.

    STEP UP THE GAME

by mombball on 7/4/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

WOMEN'S FELMALE BASKETBALL PLAYERS NEED TO PLAY AT A HIGHER LEVEL IF THEY WANT THE PUBLIC TO SUPPORT FELMALE BASKETBALL. SPARKS NEED TO STEP-UP THEIR GAME....... MY FIRST TIME ATTENDING A SPARKS GAME AND LEFT DISAPPOINTED.

    Good GAME!!!

by MELLLOW on 7/2/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

This was my first WNBA game and I would love to go back again. I know women basketball is not as popular as the mens but they play just as hard. The fans, mascot and players made the game exciting and would recommend this event.

the game was good, as it was close (down to the LAST play!) & the facility was pretty nice as well. It was interesting to see my team (the CT Sun) play on the road, in a different venue, since I've only seen them play at home in the Mohegan Sun Arena in the past; also interesting to see how other teams/venues do things differently.

    Amazing night for my family!

by DisneyFamily5 on 6/16/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

The Sparks game was one of our favorite experiences in our recent trip to LA - so much so that we returned for a second game later in the week. We got to watch a great game that ended in a win for the Sparks, with our favorite player (Parker, of course) hitting the game winning shot at the end! We got fairly cheap seats and they were still really good - we had a great view and felt like we were right in the action. If we lived in SoCa we'd have to have season tickets. The second game was just as good, and we got to see yet another win, though we were sad to see Candice go out with her shoulder.

    Redemption. Go Sparks

by drea9 on 6/9/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

My family and I had a great time at the LA Sparks season game against the Phoenix Mercury. My youngest daughter (12years) who is an avid basketball follower and player, loved watching her favorite players, Candance Parker & Diana Tirausi, go head to head. It was redemption time for the LA Sparks, as they had lost to the Mercury during the first season game. Lost only by 1 point. But, now it was the Sparks turn to redeem themselves and they did. Sparks won by 1 point. It was an amazing game and look forward to attending another Sparks game before the season is over.

    Same Sad Situation Again

by routtr on 5/31/10STAPLES Center - Los Angeles

it not the team or player its the venue and the adminstration of the sparks I was a season ticket holder gave it up was told that the food court would be change , not to have the same things just hot dogs get more items like the lakers offer didn't happen still cant bring in your own sandwiches that sad the fact that you had 7 school bus in for opening day and still couldn't get a sell out , tells you that something is wrong and after 14 years and the people still not showing tells me that you have no idea what to do? even though we keep telling you to bring it the the san fernando valley and ventura county , the staples personal are awful there not friendly towards the sparks , they did sentd the best of the usher over to the nokia because that a high priorty to them and they make money there ,sparks to no signing after games so that can meet there fans and vice versa, and you wanting us to expanded our own family so you can have more fans is that the stupidest thing I ever heard especially since more then half you fans are homosexuals . Once again, you dont know your fan base see a pattern yet or do you need more
