Excellent evening's entertainment. Memorable night.
WELL IT WAS A LONG NIGHT VICKEY WAS GREAT AS MAMA HER STAND UP COMADY LEFT US A LIL BOARD IV NEVER KNOWEN HER AS A STAND UP COMIEDIEN NEVER THE LESS WE STILL HAD A GREAT TIME AND WOULD RECOMEND THE SHOW TO FRIENDS
I thought that the performance was only fair. We were a little disappointed in Vicki and "Mama". There were some funny remarks, but on the whole not great. We thought that there were too many off color remarks which would have been better not said.
Vicki's show was so wonderful! I will definitely go see it again when she comes back to Texas. Lots of fun jokes mixed in with stories of her life and career. Then Mama came out and told us what she thought! Hilarious!! It was also fun to see some outtakes from Mama's Family. I love Vicki and hope to see more of her again on TV!! She is so funny!! TV needs more of her high-quality humor. Casa Manana is also a lovely venue. And all the seats are pretty close to the stage. Not a bad seat in the house!
Vicki Lawrence is one of a kind! I never laughed so hard in my life!! I would recommend this to anyone.. I would even go see it over and over again! I drove 7 hours just to see her, and it was totally worth it, and I would drive it again. I even got to meet her after the show!!! She is a jewel!
A most enjoyable evening with a warm and funny lady!
If you loved the Carol Burnett Show or Vicki Lawrence's spin off, Momma's House?, you should get a ton of belly laughs from this performance. The only caveat is, if you are a bit prudish about sexual humor, I suppose you might be offended at some of her humor.
"Mama" was wonderful, as was her Q & A piece. Unfortunately she overdid the cheap bathroom humor. She should have incorporated more Fort Worth and/or Texas references in her jokes.
The "Laugh with a Legend Gala - An Evening with Vicki Lawrence" was so enjoyable. Vicki was so funny as herself and as "Mama". To top it off, she sang the medley of her hit, "The Night the Lights went out in Georgia". Casa put on a great event. Fort Worth is so lucky to have Casa Manana.
