The best thing to say is that the production was as good as the play itself - truly remarkable.
Multi-talented cast played so many different roles so well that I was awed by their competence, their speed, their abilities to switch into other characters as if turning on a new light. This play is a genuine conversation about the many viewpoints of Judas within the context of real-life choices and situations. The ending was as a true Christian would want to believe. This play was a thoughtful poly-dialogue rolled into unfolding plots with purpose and care. My only quibbles include the length of the play that preyed upon my patience and my wish to end it all and that fact that the title is a misnomer. Another title would have served the playright's purpose better in my opinion. Other than that, I would tell you - go see it - you've never seen anything like it before.
Didn't even know there was a live theater in the Market Arcade! What a wonderful surprise that my first play to see there was The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. This play was amazing. All the actors were great, told a wonderfully amusing and thought-provoking story and were just a pleasure to watch. Would I go back and see this one again? YES I would!
This well-written, unusual take on the story of Judas Iscariot, was superbly acted by an incredibly talented cast, most of whom portrayed 2-3 characters each. A must-see!
This re-trial of Judas in Purgatory is funny, dramatic and extremely thought provoking. This is a play that can be enjoyed by all religious groups but especially significant for Catholics, other Christian denominations and Jews (it's great for atheists and agnostics). Strong language and occassional sacriligious comments will, no doubt, offend the prudish. All of the actors portrayed their roles well though Sister Theresa has put on a little weight since she left earth. The Judge, Satan and Prosecuting Attorney are outstanding. Saint Monica steels the show everytime she steps on stage. The staging is excellent and as witnesses show up for the trial it's intriguing to see if they come up from hell or down from heaven. The initimate feel of the Road Less Traveled Theater always improves your theater experience. Get there early and get a front row seat.
