This was the best scary farm ever! Awesome i'll be back next year
My girlfriend was scared to death! Sh want to go again next year.
This place is the most halloween fun you'll ever have!!
Fog machines, strobe lights, eerie music, sound effects, ghouls, goblins, freaky clowns, serial killers, spiders, monsters of every description and SMOKIN' HOT ZOMBIE CHICKS IN LINGERIE WORKIN' A STRIPPER POLE!!! What more can a red-blooded, American man, or bi-curious foreign babe want?!?! A little crowed. However, the crowd is fun and respectful. Overall, I had a great time!!! I will be a repeat offender for years to come.
Kids worked hard as a team to scare you! Rides were great and then there were the scarey mazes everywhere.
They used to have alot more fog at the entrance, which made it more fun for newcomers. One maze had almost no ghouls, while one other had some, but they were chatting together. The 3D was a great affect, but worked best in bobo's maze. That was our favorite. The "hanging", which replaced freddy kreugers show, was campy but had a few good jabs.
This year was not as fun or exciting as years past. Too many masks & not enough effect make up on the actors. No Great Heavy Fog in the walkways & no Creep Feel factor. Actors were less than more so very little "jump out" surprise during the wait in long lines. Inside most mazes much less "around the corner" surprise. I wouldn't suggest making the trip if you have to pick one special event this season.
I was expecting to go this year and just really be blown away and scared. But nope I wasn't. I mean don't get me wrong I did get scared here and there but it just wasn't all that terrifying. I guess I just thought that if I'm going to pay that much for a ticket and it's the month of Halloween then I'm expecting to go in to a them park and big scared through out the whole park. (every inch of the park is a haunted house or maze). All in all it just seemed to family friendly and wasn't how it was was 12 yrs ago when I went for the 1st time.
This being the almost the tenth year since I've started going to Knott's Annual Halloween Haunt, I've come to expect a certain level of quality from Knott's brand of Spooky thrills and chills, and this year they delivered once again. Though I get quite annoyed with the legions of rude teen-agers screaming and running into me, as they charge away from the hordes of zombies and spooks that roam the park, it's still good fun, and many of the Mazes and Rides (Notably the Calico Mine Train and Log Jammer) are all quite well thought out. The cursory Witch Hanging/Pop Culture skewer was fun, albeit silly, the Ghost Town, eerie and full of nice atmosphere and fog. This year, the 3D Alien Encounter and Terror of London Mazes were the best (in my opinion - I didn't get to see every single one) of the ones I managed to walk through (the park, even for a Sunday - was pretty packed - I highly recommend buying tix online to avoid getting down there and finding it sold-out) due to the huge lines for each Maze. I would personally like to see more attention to detail in the dressing of the mazes and MUCH less people constantly jumping out, banging the wall and shaking a can full of bolts at me (doesn't scare me - just hurts my ears and makes me want to punch). All in all, Knott's has a lot to offer those who want a big dose of Halloween fun for their buck.
