About

Justin Bieber on Tour

He's descended from the rafters attached to giant angel wings made of speaker parts. He's also held court to seas of screaming fans while sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar. He's danced madly on EDM festival stages while backed by wild bass kicked out by Diplo and Skrillex, and he's faced off with Questlove in a live drum battle. He is, of course, Justin Bieber — the Canadian-born singer, songwriter, musician and world's biggest pop star, period. His debut concert tour, 2010's My World Tour, launched when he was 16, sold 1.4 million tickets and grossed $53 million. Although he's taken the occasional hiatus from the spotlight, Bieber was a seasoned performer before he was old enough to vote. At the heart of that success is an immense talent (both vocal and instrumental) initially tailor-made to court a global fan base of fervent tweens and kids. But as Bieber grew up, so did his taste and perspective. In tandem with setting Guinness World Records for streams, sales, radio plays, social media followers and video views, the boy became a man in public and on record — his celebrated fourth and fifth albums, 2015's Purpose and 2020's Changes, found him shedding a bubblegum background for new sonic frontiers and critical acclaim.

Justin Bieber in Concert

Justin Drew Bieber was born in London, Ontario, in 1994, and raised in low-income housing by the single mother who would share one of his earliest performances on YouTube in 2006, kicking off one of the most storied careers in music history. His talent was evident early on — Bieber was playing the drums at 2, and singing not long after. By the time he was 12, he was able to earn $3,000 busking in front of his town's theater during tourist season. Within a year of that, he'd been discovered by future music mogul Scooter Braun and introduced to Usher. Management and record deals followed, and Bieber and his mother moved to Atlanta to start building his future. In 2009, Bieber's debut EP, My World, dropped and went platinum within a month. All seven of its songs ended up in the Billboard Hot 100, paving the way for appearances on Ellen, at the White House and on Taylor Swift's tour. Up through 2012's Believe, with its single "Boyfriend," Bieber continued to project youthful optimism and innocent romance, but his career was effectively relaunched in 2015 after he teamed with Jack Ü to release "Where Are Ü Now," an edgy EDM track that found him expressing doubt and lamenting loss. That song, along with his similarly oriented "What Do You Mean?", set the stage for Purpose, a coming-of-age album that explored spirituality, struggle and mature love. Collaborations followed across dance (Major Lazer's "Cold Water"), Latin (Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito"), rap (DJ Khaled's "I'm the One"), country (Dan + Shay's "10,000 Hours") and alternative pop (Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy"), culminating in 2020's appropriately named, fully grown offering, Changes.

    Was okay

by Ray on 6/9/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

Concert was okay. Seemed like he was lipsyncing which kind of stank because of how much tickets were. But my daughter wanted to go so we did.

Justin Bieber in Detroit (@ LCA)

by Aunt Shelli on 6/9/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

Finally, after 2 long years for pandemic dely. . . .we got our night with the Biebs. Justin told the audience that he had a sore throat, was COVID tested and don't worry because it was negative, and that he was going through with the show. Overall a FANTASTIC stage show with the lights, lasers. smoke and fireworks! Justin sounded fine to me! He did a great show, the audience was singing loud and proud, and my niece loved her long awaited birthday present!

    Justin never disappoints

    by Katie on 6/9/22

Having gone to see Justin multiple times on every tour all I can say is that he truly gets better every single time. He’s a born performer and it’s so evident watching him on stage whether he’s singing acoustic or backed up by the full band, he puts on a SHOW. Seeing him live is an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Justin Bieber at Little Caesars Arena -Detroit

by Wendy on 6/9/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

The show was better than I expected. I actually enjoyed it, even though the thousands of screaming girls has made me a little deaf, but hey, I get it ladies!! I purchased 2 tickets as a birthday gift for my daughter in 2020. I ended up going with my daughter after the 2 year postponement because her initial guest was not able to go and most of her friends had already gotten tickets. I was disappointed with the seat reassignment between the venues as we were now seated on the side of the stage with limited view. My initial purchase was a full unobstructed view seat. The seats were close to the stage but still, limited view. We saw most of the show looking at Justin’s back. It would have been beneficial to utilize the Jumbotron or another screen, for people seated on the side to have a full frontal view of the stage.

    Belieber for Life

by MelanieD on 6/9/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

Poor baby, said he had a sore throat but continued to have an amazing show for us. The vocals? Amazing. I couldn’t tell he wasn’t feeling well at all! I sang my heart out with him and I enjoyed every single moment of it. This was my fourth concert of his and I am never let down. Next time, I vote everyone who sits down for the songs that aren’t his biggest hits automatically gets sent to the nosebleeds. Bring the real ones to the front! Anyway, amazing amazing amazing. I love that man. He puts on a great show!

    Low key

by Jdo on 6/9/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

I took my 16 year old daughter after waiting 2 years for the concert! Thought it would be high energy, dancing, but instead it was low key and boring… I would rank it in my top 3 worst concerts I’ve been to. My daughter even said that it wasn’t as good as she thought it was going to be. I was hoping Jayden Smith would get off the stage and bring out Will Smith- “Big Willie Style” would have been a better experience than the entire Justin Bieber concert. On a good note, I can say I’ve been to a Bieber concert and don’t have to go again!

    AMAZING SHOW

by Halle on 6/8/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

I had an amazing time seeing Justin Bieber! I’ll always be a belieber. The only issue I had is with his production team. They should come around to all of the sections on the floor so that can be seen in the megatron not just the people in the pit area. Other than that the show and seats were excellent. I can’t wait to see Justin again

    Bieber Fever

by Lynniepoo on 6/8/22Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Check in was a breeze! Scanned my tickets on my phone. Police officer directing traffic was so funny and nice. All the staff was very nice. My seat was very tight! I'm not crazy about sitting so close to a total stranger with a giant umbrella and flopping loudly in their seat. I do understand. I just didn't like it. Not sure why there's only one big screen up. I could see, but more than one would have been better. I feel so lucky to have gotten to see The Biebs! Covid of course messed up"the moment", not anybody's fault. Thank you for the concert. The vibe in the Coliseum was real positive. Justin brings out the best in some people!💓

    So Awesome

by Kailey on 6/8/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

Had such a great time! The show was incredible. The light effects were amazing! The props were very fun and went with the songs and the themes. The sound was excellent. We we’re up in the nosebleeds and could hear the music extremely loud just like anyone else. His voice was better than when on the radio. Very happy they had enough t-shirts because the lines were crazy. The parking experience is pretty rough, especially if parking close to the arena, takes at least an hour to leave an event like that. You need a lot of patience after a long night. It is very hot once you start singing and dancing, could use some fans or more air during events with many people.

    AMAZING

by Emily on 6/8/22Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

I finally got to see JB after 10 years. He was my first concert I ever went to & saw him in DETROIT for his Believe tour. I felt so bad that he wasn’t feeling well, you could tell at some points it was hurting him to sing but he did such an amazing job for not feeling well. So brave of him to keep pushing through until the end. I did feel it was a little rushed & wish he would have talked to the crowd more but he didn’t feel good so I get it. I loved all the visuals & how everything was set up & how the songs transitioned into the next song. The set list was perfect. It still feels surreal that I saw him in person. I’ve been a fan of his for as long as I can remember & I always will be!! #BelieberForLife
