    Festival of Choir

by Jimmy G on 12/16/23Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Decent music. The Choir in the back was buried...could not see them. Needs to be elevated. Lack of adequate restrooms in the facility.

    WowZA

by CarolD on 10/18/23Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - Indianapolis

My husband has song with the ISC for over 30 years and I have gone to many ISC concerts. This concert brought a new chapter to the ISC song book. The wonderfully presented choice of Tunes sent us to the shores of our southern Latin neighbors. Bruno and Daniel were Fantastic as featured soloists & guitarist. One moving song after another left us all wanting more! Bravo!!!!

    Festival of Carols was wonderful!!!

by Susie on 12/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The gospel singers were inspiring w/beautiful voices. The Franklin Community High School singers were wonderful too. And Michael Presley had the most beautiful baritone voice and stage presence. Both the ensemble symphony and the symphonic choirs preformed above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed an entertaining evening!!

    Lovely Evening

by Rcubed on 12/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

What a lovely evening! Our favorite piece was “Alleluia”. It’s simple beauty touched our hearts. The premier of Huish’s “O Little Town of Bethlehem “ was breathtaking. The guest soloist, Michael Preacely, was excellent. We were touched by “Mary, Did You Know?” and entertained by “You’re a Mean One, Mr Grinch”. The only downside was that the choir was overshadowed by the orchestra. It is probably not doable, but it would have been better if the choir was in front of the orchestra. It truly was a wonderful musical experience.

    Dec. 14, 2022

by None on 12/17/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

While the ISC sang beautifully as did the guest soloist, my family and I did not enjoy the gospel choir. Their sound was too forced, intonation bad, and banace with the combo also not balanced. The QR code for the program did not work for any member of our party as well, so we couldn't access the program.

Back Home Again With the Choir

by She-Who-Can't-Sing on 10/5/21Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - Indianapolis

Yes, yes, it was all fine and good to enjoy the "Virtual Choir" last season, but... Sunday's performance was wonderful in many ways, not the least of which was being there IN PERSON with REAL SINGERS--and, of course, the wonderful conductors, organist and amazing soloist. Enjoying it with other music lovers topped it off. Needless to say, I'm a long-time fan of this wonderful choir. Not being able to enjoy performances in person was painful and I can only imagine how hard it was for the singers. The wearing of masks didn't make the performance any less enjoyable. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

    Fabulous Concert!

by LucyN on 10/5/21Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - Indianapolis

It was wonderful to hear the ISC singing in person again, finally! Wonderful articulation, as always, wonderful tone quality, wonderful selections - it was very difficult not to sing along with the ones I knew. Thank you Eric for a beautiful concert. Soloist Kim was perfection also. The Schrott is such a wonderful space to listen and to sing.

    Beyond Glorious

by Tenorbearmeister on 10/5/21Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - Indianapolis

I waited until this morning to comment on the concert because I really needed the weekend to digest. From the first note of the organ to the last note of the choir, my body actually resonated. I could feel the music shaking my insides as if throwing off the cobwebs of long unused emotions. And I cried. Thank you for giving us all the most beautiful gift I can remember receiving.
