About

Il Divo, the internationally renowned classical crossover quartet, were formed in the U.K. by television personality and veteran record executive Simon Cowell in 2004. The original lineup reflected the group’s boundless inspirations and universal appeal, with each member hailing from a different country: tenor David Miller from the United States, tenor Urs Bühler from Switzerland, baritone Sébastien Izambard from France, and the late baritone Carlos Marín from Spain. Starting with their 2004 self-titled debut album, Il Divo have released five Top 10 albums and sold over 30 million records worldwide. 2005’s Ancora became Il Divo’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and their 2009 world tour earned the group the Billboard Breakthrough Award for making Billboard Boxscore’s top tour recap for the first time in their career. Over two decades, the quartet have experimented with a blend of opera and pop, reinventing standards from Motown to Christmas classics and collaborating with Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Leona Lewis, and more. Following the loss of Marín in December 2021, in 2023, American baritone Steven LaBrie became a full-time member.

I have followed them since they 1st began but it was my 1st time in person...DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Even though I was not feeling well I was not missing this show so glad I went. They were amazing. Thank you for an enjoyable evening even during a stressful time.

  • Excellent Performances

by TA on 11/21/25Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Both artists, the opening act ‘Simply Three’ and ‘Il Divo’ were excellent. I enjoyed the self composed writings that Simply Three did during their set more than I did the covers. It was also wonderful to meet them, get and picture and then support their work purchasing a CD. I had literally been waiting years to see Il Divo. I had bought special VIP tickets for their concert in Scotland; however I did not make it as it so happened the original 4th member Carlos Marin passed away. I couldn’t believe it that they would be in Greensboro, so to finally get to see them and hear the Adagio which was my first introduction to the group was a little check on my dream come true list and I got to experience it with my sister! The musicians were on point, lighting and tech perfected the ambiance and seats were comfortable (as someone who uses a cane I can attest). Overall and experience I would pay to repeat!

  • Fabulous.

The venue and the performers were perfect. However the audience was badly behaved and seemed not to understand usual concert etiquette. This was surprising as on a whole it was an older audience. They recorded and chatted during Simply 3.

What a great performance by this talented quartet of operatic virtuosos! A melding of the classical and contemporary- completely entertaining for everyone no matter your age or musical preferences. And the cherry on top was the opening string trio, "Simply Three". Bravo!

What a gorgeous night of music! I really enjoyed getting to see Il Divo in person, and they're just as amazing as I knew they'd be. The musicians playing with them were also wonderful, and I really enjoyed Simply Three as an opening act. As far as the venue, it's extremely comfortable, clean, and overall a wonderful experience to go to CCPAC. Highly recommend!
