This has been my 5th time seeing Rob Garrett perform his "Hot August NIght" show at the Cannery casino/hotel and although every show has been great, the particular show surpassed all previous HAN shows. Rob is the ONLY Neil Diamond tribute act is a 'dead ringer for Neil physically and vocally. As a matter of fact, at this stage of the game, he looks and sounds more like Neil in his better/prime days. Rob was on stage for almost 2 hours and played just about every song the audience wanted to hear and surprised us with a couple of new ones as well. There is no tribute artist in Vegas or around the country that can top this guy. Living in Las Vegas for over 50 years, I have seen just about every tribute artist/act that has appeared in town. Roh Garrett is the first one I have seen who shows that celebrity impersonation can indeed be an art form.
Rob Garrett is the best Neil Diamond "tribute" artist I have seen anywhere.
This was my first time seeing this band, but it won't be the last. Did all my favorites and did them extremely well! Very high energy and the sound was excellent on the vocals.
From the first song on, ir was evident that the singers voice was weak and the band overpowered so much we could hardly hear the words. This made it difficult to sing along or even recognize the song being sung. Not sure if it could have been fixed with a simple adjustment to the sound system or not. Show was still fun and entertaining but disappointed with the Neil Diamond impersonators voice. He could benefit from some singing lessons to strengthen his voice and range. He also needed some assistance with his outfit. The band members would have looked more professional if they all wore nicer clothes or matching outfits. They looked like slobs. I went to High School with a Neil Diamond impersonator who blows this guy away. Too bad it wasnt him preforming.
Really awesome concert! Sounded just like the real thing.
Loved the show. He has a great voice, and the band was terrific. Highly Recommend!
The group sounded just like Neil Diamond. The choice of music was great, with a rising big buildup for the end. Had us all clapping with the music , having fun. He didn't take things seriously, stayed light hearted all the way thru.
Started slow, quickly became very impressive. Looked like and sounded like the old Neil Diamond (in his prime). 8 of us all agreed it was a great show.
This was such a fun night! The performer was amazing and had everyone singing along!
Always wonderful to see this band. This was our second time coming back to the hanger to see them perform, never disappointing.
This is a highly professional tribute to Neil Diamond. The lead singer stayed in character through out and looks and sounds like Neil Diamond as we all remember him. Great energy, singing and music. Female back up singer nailed the Streisand song "You Don't Send Me Flowers" and "Neil" did as well. The songs were great and had people up and dancing. Only issue was opening song was a later period little known song and overall too many ballads from Jazz singer. Did not do my mother-in-laws favorite song: Red Red Wine. I had heard OF but never heard the song "Stones" and I could live without it. (Maybe we can skip it across CCR's Green River!) There were 3 other ballads I never heard before that could have left room for other songs. But bottom line this band is a very appealing great recreation of Neil Diamond at his best!
The singer was extremely generous. Not stoping to sing for a full 2 hours. Great singer. Sang all the big hits of Neil Diamond. Great voice.
This group puts on the best show. This is the fourth time we have seen them in the last four years. As good or better than the real one.
Dean does a fantastic impression of Neil Diamond, he's the best show after the real Neil. I have been enjoying Dean Colley for years at Cypress Park, this Summer he was not booked there so I was thrilled that he turned up at the O.C. Fair. He put on a rousing show which my family and I enjoyed very much. It was my birthday and he is the best present I could have had. Enjoyed all the old Neil Diamond songs that Dean and his group did, great voice that night and left very happy. Thank you Dean!!
He looked and sang like the real Neil. He had lots of energy right to the end of the concert. It was great fun for us.
Fun, engaging show! Well-behaved crowd. First time at the venue, but it won't be my last.
