Not a hologram!!! And no light sticks!!!

by Disappointed Miku fan on 5/10/24Prudential Center - Newark

First of all, this is not what was expected. For $250 a ticket, I expected more than just a movie screen with a band. This was no Coachella experience. No hologram of Miku, just a video. Was kinda pathetic actually. And, they didn’t have enough merch. So if you didn’t pay extra for the early access package, and even if you did, they did not have lightsticks or tshirts. As a matter of fact, the lightsticks were sold out before the doors even opened to regular access ticket holders. I had VIP access, waited in the merch line for 45 min before the regular doors even opened, and they ran out of lightsticks, a critical part of the interactive Miku experience. I was nervous because there were so many angry people as well because of the merch shortage. Not a good experience at all.

    Great time poor management

by Miku Miku 16 on 5/10/24Prudential Center - Newark

I was lucky to get my tickets during the September presale. There were multiple lines, and we didn't know where to go or line up at. I get not being allowed to take in a water bottle but what's the point of selling water bottles and no caps. The Merch lines were huge. My friend and I spent half the performance waiting on line. There should have been more stalls and set up away from the entrance. Because the other floors were empty but the main floor was over crowded. I'm bummed that it wasn't the Hologram, Crunchyroll definitely has the money for Hatsune Miku of all things. I thought the screen, while visible was very small. Still a great time with Miku fana, but the venue set up left something to be desired.

    Could’ve been better

by AM on 5/10/24Prudential Center - Newark

Honestly i expected a hologram, if you’re gonna put a TV at least make it bigger, the screen was extremely small, the live band was the only thing that made it seem like it was worth while but I honestly was disappointed.

    Great show!

by Arelen on 5/9/24H-E-B Center at Cedar Park - Cedar Park

The show was great! No complaints from me here. Everybody enjoyed the music and the live band that played Miku’s songs. This is the second show I’ve gone and it didn’t disappoint. The crowd roared with excitement and the venue lit up with all the beautiful stage lights and effects. Will definitely go again in the future!

Had a good time, but there are some issues

by Jei on 5/9/24The Anthem - Washington

Overall, I had a great experience but there were issues that should be addressed for next year. The lines need to be done better though so people aren't having to wait through lines to get in until the very start of the show. Also, Crunchyroll needs to make more lightsticks available online and on-site since they are in such high demand. The lightsticks really do impact the overall experience so it's unfortunate for those who aren't able to get one for the show.

unorganized for the amount of people attending.

by Kayla on 5/8/24The Anthem - Washington

With the show being "sold out", there were a lot of people at the venue.... With that being said- there was not enough merchandise being sold. First of all, It took about 20 minutes to find parking. Then we had to go around to the back where there was a long line outside of the venue for the regular general admission tickets. When we finally went through the security, the show was starting promptly at 8 like advertised but, there was only one merchandise stand near the front with the longest line I have ever been in. We waited 40 minutes in that one line and once we were in the front, they had nothing left except for posters and bracelets. It was disappointing that in the first half, the other vocaloids were on the screen that wasn't visible because the line was looped and wrapped behind a platform area. But great band and great songs.

    Really great, despite Crunchyroll

by Ty on 5/8/24The Anthem - Washington

It was an amazing concert, and overall I left feeling positive! But a few major issues: -The screen, obviously. This should have been advertised from the get-go, OR, ya know, they could have simply used the holograms like other expos. -merch. Dear god what a cluster. Horrible experience. They ran out of everything extremely fast, and only had 1 booth for the thousands of fans. Terrible. -Setlist was too short and had some not so great songs in it, imo. All that said, I still maintain a 4/5 stars. The band members were great, the organization of the venue (other than the merch) was good. The sound production was stellar (if not a bit too loud tho.) The visuals were amazing, even considering the TV. The TV was insanely high-res with a high refresh rate. The only way it could have been better is if it was the holos. If it’s your first Miku Expo, you should go! If it’s not, and you’d still like to go, just temper your expectations. I hope in future years it’s not handled by Crunchyroll, and that they are honest and considerate of Miku’s fans.

    What was VIP about it?

by Hana J on 5/8/24The Anthem - Washington

VIP shouldn’t mean waiting in line for 5 hours to get a chance to get merch, but the lights being sold out within 5 minutes.

    World is Hers

by Miku Fanatic on 5/8/24The Anthem - Washington

Pros: had fun, liked the merch in the VIP bag, live band was good, liked the setlist, liked the physics on the models Cons: expensive, not enough merch stock, LED screen instead of iconic projection technology
