The first act and last act could've been the worst "comedy" acts I've seen....The first act had a high pitched voice you couldn't here or understand......The old lady was very difficult to understand as well......If I could have got a refund after the first act, I would have
We got to the seating area and could only find a seat towards the back. Well grandma Lee was impossible to hear not just because the acoustics were bad but because she in very inarticulate! She mumbles like crazy!! We finally moved to stand near a speaker and could hear better but the truth is, the humor was in poor taste, especially coming from a 79 year old grandma. Would never pay to see her again....
It was definitely an adult show. I was not offended by the language, nothing an adult has not heard, or even said themselves, before, but the room was over-crowded, the sound system was horrible, and Gramma Lee spoke so fast it was difficult to digest all the punch lines. I suppose for the price is was a "fair" bargain.
Grandma Lee's timing is amazing! She kept us in stitches from beginning to end. Not for the easily offended.
The venue was difficult to access from the highway. We had seen this performer on network television and assumed from that performance that her material would be adult oriented. We did not realize that her language would be so vulgar. It was difficult to enjoy the humor due to the use of the often awkwardly placed offensive words. It was as if she felt she wouldn't be funny without the language and it simply made her appear uneducated. Additionally, much of her material was repeated from email and not original.
