Godsmack were a big part of the late ’90s hard rock revival, and they’ve continued to lead the way for legacy rock acts with three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, 28 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, three Grammy nominations and over 20 million albums sold worldwide. The quartet formed in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1995 and played their first shows in Boston bars before recording their 1997 independent album, All Wound Up…, which was later reworked as their quadruple-platinum, major label debut, Godsmack, in 1998. The band’s profile grew as they joined the Ozzfest tour in 1999 and 2000, dropped their sophomore album Awake on Halloween 2000 and earned their first two No. 1 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with the album’s title track and 2002’s “I Stand Alone” from The Scorpion King soundtrack. Ahead of the release of 2003’s Faceless, Godsmack assembled their long-standing core lineup of founding members Sully Erna and Robbie Merrill along with guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin. The album kicked off a three-album streak of Billboard 200 No. 1 debuts including 2006’s IV and 2010’s The Oracle. The band collected their second career platinum-certified single with “Bulletproof” off 2018’s When Legends Rise, which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2023, the band unveiled their eighth studio album, Lighting Up the Sky.

The North American leg of Godsmack’s Best of Times World Tour started in September of 2023 and ran through October. They will also play select tour dates throughout 2024.

Sully is a great entertainer. Loved that he engaged with the audience. Blew us away with his non Godsmack song choices. It was a fantastic night celebrating my birthday. Counting down the days till the band performs in my area again. Thank you Godsmack 😁
Godsmack is the greatest band ever. They are so talented and amazing to see live, you will never forget this night of true rock. The audience is amazing and a great vibe, I love godsmack fans.

This show was so amazing. They played so many good songs from their catalog and I enjoyed Sullys commentary between songs. However this theater has poor sound quality. I do not suggest seeing a band here if you can help it. It wasn't as bad as it was on Friday when I saw Social Distortion and Bad Religion but it still wasn't very great. It's a shame because there really isn't a bad seat in the house.
I went to a Godsmack show and got a cover band instead. They played exactly 2 songs of theirs I actually wanted to hear. A total waste of time and money.
I’ve seen these guys on tour a few times now and they never disappoint! The two additional musicians they brought with them were an excellent addition to the fantastic four. From the stage set up, the visual effects, and the music the show was off the hook. I wish they would do this more often when they are touring.
As always, Godsmack killed it. They are one of the few live artists that sound like their recordings. The intimate evening was wonderful, wishing we could have more time, more stories from Sully, more music, more of everything. It was an experience of sight & sound that at times took you somewhere else and we didn't want leave or have it end. MGM is a great venue, very comfortable and not a bad seat in the house. Music was mixed perfectly!
GodSmack kicked butt and they know how to rock. They keep the audience happy and drawn in with every song and everything they talked about. The show and venue were awesome. It’s one of the best shows I’ve been too.
I was blown away by this show! It was absolutely fantastic! These guys are amazing performers, and the love they have for their fans is awesome! I hope they do another show like this in the future. Godsmack never disappoints their fans. I am so excited to get to see them again in July!
The venue was perfect, our seats were outstanding! Godsmack put on one heck of a show, the place was sold out and we were really happy to see Godsmack with our vip tickets. Can’t wait to see them again next time they are at MGM Grand
