About

With 2013's Make A Move -- his fifth studio album in just 10 years -- Gavin DeGraw celebrated his fourth Top 20 appearance on the Billboard 200. An Irish contemporary rocker with a folksy vibe, DeGraw has earned a reputation as a consummate live performer, winning over ticket buyers with his charismatic presence and soulful voice. DeGraw shot to fame in 2004 with "I Don't Want To Be," a millennial anthem that became the theme song for CW teen drama One Tree Hill. His relationship with television continued unabated throughout the 2000's, with tracks being featured on shows including House, The Bachelor and So You Think You Can Dance. DeGraw's early work offered an authentic soul sound that contrasted with much of its radio brethren at the time -- his 2003 debut album Chariot spawned a the hit single of the same name, firmly establishing him as a modern torchbearer of blue-eyed soul. On the road in 2013 and beyond, DeGraw has drawn praise for his heartfelt live concerts where he's maxed capacity at Varsity Theater (Minneapolis) and other such venues.

    Invested in his fan base.

by Jules At the Show on 5/6/24The Senate - Columbia

Gavin DeGraw is always a great show. He is energetic and gets the fans singing along. As he always remarks: “[he’s] merely the songwriter, and [you] fans make it a hit”. He’s got some hits, that’s for sure. Additionally, this year‘s tour adds a couple more musicians on stage & the band sounded great. The show I saw was at “The Senate” in Columbia, SC. He did a cover of a couple of songs, one of which was a very clever choice for him to make, written by Queen: “We Are the Champions” in honor of the Women’s 2024 NCAA Basketball Championship winners. Univ of South Carolina is only a couple blocks away from the venue. I thought that was a nice touch for the local fans. His ticket prices were very reasonable for the amount of talent that he and the band shares with the audience. In addition to the musical performances, he shares good stories as well. The Merch was very reasonably priced as well. Everybody wants shirts with tour dates on the back, so I don’t know why any artists have shirts made without them. I see it all the time at nearly every show I attend from every artist He had a super cool late 70s throwback shirt with mountain graphics that I absolutely loved, but I really want the tour dates on the back of tour T-shirts, so I bought a different one. I like to advertise my favorite artists! If that’s my biggest problem in life, then I think I’m doing well.🙄 Go see the show, you’ll enjoy!

    Most amazing performance

by StacyMae on 5/6/24The Senate - Columbia

This man put on the absolute best concert I’ve ever seen! I’ve seen him four times now but this concert was on a whole different level. You could tell that he puts his heart and soul into giving the audience the performance they deserve. Would definitely recommend seeing him live.

    AMAZING!!

by Dana on 5/6/24The Senate - Columbia

This is the 2nd time Ive seen Gavin DeGraw and he was even more AMAZING than the first. He told his story, kept the crowd engaged, and because it was a smaller venue you were able to be at the stage. The only downfall was it did get extremely hot in the venue if you were near the stage and there was no seating .

Gavin was great! My husband went with me but didn’t know many songs before the concert. Leaving the concert he said “well, he made a fan out of me! It was a great show!”

Not only was the venue very intimate feeling, but Gavin made it feel like it was an intimate show with his fans. He was so kind and signed autographs and took pictures afterwards!
