GARDENS & VILLA IN CONCERT:
With their hypnotic blend of lo-fi electronic beats, processed flute, and soaring falsetto vocals, indie outfit Gardens & Villa has created a sound that's both soothing and full of surprises. The band's analog synth textures give their music a retro twist without relegating it to the past, a pitfall the band avoids with modern production techniques and experimental instrumentation. Whether they're getting funky over the chillwave beat of "Orange Blossom" or picking up the pace with driving indie numbers like "Thunder Glove", Gardens & Villa always impress with their creative sound and passionate performances on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Gardens & Villa was formed in Santa Barbara in 2008 by a group of punk rock musicians. After honing a new sound that included folk and electronic elements, the group made their debut with a five-track demo and a self-funded tour of the West Coast. In 2010 they visited Oregon to record their first official studio album with Richard Swift, and in 2011 they released the self-titled album on indie label Secretly Canadian. Extensive touring followed, including festival dates with bands like the Shins and Fanfarlo. For their sophomore album, the band worked with acclaimed producer Tim Goldsworthy (Cut Copy, Hercules & Love Affair), and the result was 2014's stellar Dunes LP. Since then, the band has been touring relentlessly and even released a free EP titled Televisor, which features several sketches recorded back in 2012 with Richard Swift.

Great! The band and openers were awesome, I only hesitate to give 5 stars because the sound system at Music Hall Of Williamsburg is not great
Love Gardens & Villa's albums. Live show was pretty nice in a small venue.
Gardens and Villa were really good, but Diane Coffee was fantastic! What a surprise that one of the opening bands was even better than the headliner. Glad they're a local band, maybe we'll see more of them soon.
These guys have a really unique sound and were great to see live. They put a lot of heart into their music and always try to make sure everyone has a good time. Definitely recommend!
