We will support this good cause by a donation but will never buy tickets to anything at The Midland again. We saw Jason previously at Rockhurst and enjoyed the evening completely. Wish we could say the same about Sat night.
Jason Sudeikis made Kansas City proud! He stood out among the other comedians and he's a great guy to come back to town in support of this great cause.
Genius presentation from very bright/capable copmedians/actors. Jason was a nice additional Super Star. Mary Linna did an excellent job of setting this up for all to enjoy.
The event was very good, very funny. The pre-show plug for the benefit was too long. The space below will not accept my comments on the seats so I will put them here. Seats were horrible! Midland floor is not sloped- seats were close, but could not see due to tall people in rows in frt of us. Balcony seats better & cheaper. I will never pay for "premium" seats at Midland again. Terrible!!!!
We bought the "expensive tickets" on the floor and could not see the first half of the show. The folding chairs are simply lined up in rows on a flat floor. No way to see around the heads in front of you!! What a bummer. This type of venue either needs to have an elevated stage as alot of the production was done with the cast seated. All I (we) could do was listen. As the ticket buyer for our group of 8, I felt badly that we had such lousy seats for the price we all paid. At intermission, we all moved to the upper balcony where we had a much better view of the stage. Sad, but this really needs to be addressed. If it hadn't been a fundraiser, it would have been maddening!!
