This was an absolutely amazing performance. It captured me from the opening number. I did not want the evening to end.

    Alberta Ballet was just fantastic

by Anonymous on 1/28/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

The Alberta Ballet was just fantastic and unforgettable. The choreography , a beautiful combination of ballet and modern dance, was set to the lovely sounds of Sarah McLaclan.

    Total disappointment.

by TheVeeve on 1/28/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

The venue? Pretty. Seats? Totally fine. Parking situation? Awful (took us over an hour to exit our floor of the parking garage). The ballet itself? A total disappointment. Maybe the problem is me...and maybe I don't know Sarah's music half as well as I think I do despite having been a fan since the very early 90's. But the general consensus of the Sarah fans in the room was that the entire flow of the show was off, that the choreography did not match the lyrics, that there was too much repetition from song to song, that the dancers were having an off night because a good number of them weren't in sync...the list goes on and on. Fumbling Towards Ecstacy, one of the sexiest songs released in the 90's, featured dancers with beaming smiles. This number was supposed to correlate with the exploration of the opposite sex. How about correlating with feelings of awkwardness and confusion amongst the audience? Ice Cream, the song that should have been put in place of Vox, featured a dancer dressed as an ice cream cone? The only two numbers that resonated were Ice and Hold On. Bravo to the principals dancing in those numbers - especially the male principal in Ice. You nailed it. Otherwise, the entire thing was a huge misfire - for both ballet fans and fans of Sarah's music.

    Dancing was outstanding!!

by Flow4 on 1/27/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

The level of Ballet added to the supurbly beautiful voice of Sarah McLachlans voice, made for a wonderful evening appealing to the senses. Very well orchastrated.

    Absolutely unforgettable, Beautifully danced

by Dousja on 1/27/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

From the first note, the first move I was mesmerized. Had to remember to breath! The dancers were all at such an amazing level they all could have been principle dancers. The music told the story as well as the movement. I've never seen or experienced anything quit like it. I'd see it again and again. The last dance brought me to tears!

    One of a kind peformance!

by Cici123 on 1/27/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

The dancers in this company are remarkable, and the music and choreography was really incredible. I honestly didn't know what to expect--I've seen a number of classic ballets, but never a modern ballet--and this was so fresh and fun. I went with some friends for a girl's night out and all of us were floored. You will want to discuss this performance over multiple bottles of bubbly. You don't have to be a Sarah McLachlan fan to enjoy this show--but it helps!

    Sarah McLachlan Ballet

by Oliver55 on 1/27/15Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I was very disappointed. When ordering the tickets I typed in Sarah Mc Lachlan Concert and when arriving to the event it was a Ballet with her music. Read the fine print when ordering tickets because it was very deceiving.
