About

Erth's DINOSAUR ZOO Live™ takes you on a tour through pre-historic Australia, bringing an eye-popping array of ancient creatures to life on stage. You will observe and interact with extraordinarily life-like creatures, just like those that inhabited the Southern Hemisphere millions of years ago. Meet a menagerie of insects, mammals and dinosaurs in their ancient environment, in this highly imaginative, entertaining and educational live show. From the sweetly curious baby Dryosaur, to the peaceful hulk Titanosaur, and even the teeth-gnashing T-rex -- Erth's DINOSAUR ZOO Live™ is a unique interactive theater performance that stimulates the imagination in a way that connects children to their world. Erth's large-scale puppets were developed in consultation with paleontologists, based on current science and interpretations of fossil evidence. Employing sophisticated design and electronics, these giants are brought to life by skilled performers and puppeteers, made all the more real through the magic of theatre.

My 6yo, dinosaur obsessed son loved this show. He was laughing the entire time. I really enjoyed how interactive the whole show was and the enthusiasm of the main host. It lost one star because the set itself was only so-so and not very realistic. It was a great time and we will likely go again next time it’s in town!

    Dinosaurs, meh

    by Honest13 on 2/5/18Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

A roughly one hour show which probably would have been fine based on the age group intended, but expected much more for costly tickets. (Obviously overpriced based on the number of empty seats).

Best Show ever for kids and parents alike!

    by Sweetly7 on 2/4/18Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

We attended 4 years ago when my Granddaughter was 9 years old. We found out it was coming here again, and as promised by her fervent wish at that time, if it EVER came back, she wanted to go again, I got tickets. We got the VIP as well... so worth it!! Charli from Australia was that narrator and she also participated in the VIP, so we got to meet her, as well as Myron (the T-Rex), Joe (the Triceratops) and Erin who helped with the little dinosaurs and wherever she was needed. Honestly, even just turning 13 years old, my Granddaughter has been interested in dinosaurs since she was very little, and she really enjoyed this. Can't forget the BABY dinosaurs!! So cute. You can pay to take lots of pics at the end of the show out in the lobby, so bring your camera! Pics are allowed (at least where we attended), you just can't use flash during the show. I have to say, all of the puppeteers were so kid oriented and took the time to explain things to the VIP's and during the show. Just a heads up, they are coming back with Prehistoric Aquarium (there are snippets of video on their page).. We can't wait to see Myron and the gang that comes next year. My Granddaughter was happy. I was happy.... the show runs about an hour, they cover quite a bit. One last thing.. this is definitely an audience participation puppet show.. LOVED watching the kids go up on stage and participate when chosen. This is definitely a show to spark interest and excitement over dinosaurs, for the young, and the young at heart. These puppets are so lifelike and come to life so well. <3

Don't waste your money, especially for the VIP

by MommyGirl79 on 4/17/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

So, this was okay. I say okay because my five year old enjoyed it. We paid a lot of money for the VIP meet and greet package, which was sold as an opportunity where we could meet the dinosaurs, learn about the Erh's experience, etc. Well the meet and greet started late and lasted for 30 minutes! They had one dinosaur on the stage and the process for taking pictures for absolutely awful! There wasn't any organization surrounding the process and the Erth's staff just stood around---we didn't learn anything! The meet and greet VIP provided for closer seating, but we expected more for we paid. They do being kids on stage during the shows, but I feel that those who load hundreds of dollars ($298 to be exact) should have definltey been a part of the on stage show. Never again.

Interesting show...only 55 min. long. Only 5 children were able to interact with puppets...Did not like the fact that there was a VIP group status that received hats and had early seating...When I purchased my tickets did not know of this option...When we asked about purchasing a hat for our grandson , the usher said they were ONLY for VIPS!!! This felt a little isolating...The only advantage to being a VIP was sitting in the theater earlier and primarily in the lower section of the theater. There are NO bad seats in this "house"...so regular tickets are just fine!

    Dinosaur Zoo falls short

by EddieEddie on 4/2/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Took our 4 year old granddaughter who enjoyed the show even though much was over her head. It was educational and entertaining, but no "wow" factor especially for the price.

Amazing show! So interactive, so informative and so much fun! Wish there'd been more advertising so I knew about it further in advance. I would have bought VIP tickets with more advanced planning. Excellent show. Jackson was great. Please come back to Chicago soon!!
