Simply the best. The first official Dry the River show in St. Louis was wondeful.

Freaking Dry the River changed my life.

by ZaySalem on 11/13/14Bowery Ballroom - New York

It took a while for the show to start. Perhaps a little to long but I soon forgot about that once the ball got rolling. The opener, Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas were pretty rad. Not exactly my favorite thing I would listen to outside of the show but I did dance and have a lot of fun. It was a good warm up. Then Nathaniel Rateliff came out and I was like "who the heck is this guy?" in an annoyed voice but after the second song I thought "WHO THE HECK THIS THIS GUY?" because he was amazing and I totally would listen to him outside of the show. He actually really surprised me and I am glad that I got to listen to him play live. Then Dry the River... I don't even know what to say. The show was just phenomenal. They were perfect. The music was great. The performance was great. Everything was just great. I really liked the space for it. It was really cozy and warm and it was a great night over all.

What an amazing show, wish I could go back in time

by Gemsbok on 11/7/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

To preface this, I have been waiting to see Dry the River since I first heard and fell in love with Shallow Bed in July 2013. They played every song I wanted to hear and sounded perfect. Hearing Peter's voice in person was quite a treat. Everyone in the band had great energy and they clicked on every note. Scott, the bassist was certainly in charge of the banter portion of the show and is quite funny. When asked about how their day trip to Plymouth Rock was, he responded "Well, it rocked" immediately. After playing "No Rest" (which they harmonized the beginning) he said something along the lines of "Now here's the silly part where we walk off stage and pretend we're not coming back." Dry the River has been my favorite band over the past 18 months and seeing them in person only makes me like them more. I have been to probably 20 shows this year and DtR has got to be at the very top. And props to opener Nathaniel Rateliff and his band. They put out a great set and Nathaniel was pretty hilarious at times.

    Great night! Great bands!

by CRS12 on 9/26/12Bowery Ballroom - New York City

Dry the River put on a great show, but the highlight of the night for many it seemed, was opening band, Houndmouth. What a talented and infectious group. I was glad to see they had merch available so I could tell more people about them. I definitely plan on seeing them as often as possible.

    Dry the River was great!

by NatalieDagger on 9/24/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Dry the River were really great live! They were friendly to the crowd and played really well. The only criticism I would have is that they didn't play an encore. I realize they only have one cd and therefore don't have that many songs.. But it might have been smart to save one or two songs for the encore b/c it was a little disappointing to end the show that way. But I want to stress that overall it was a great show and I had a great time. I'd definitely see them again! Here's hoping for album #2!!!
