The Cave is such an awesome venue. Desperado plays here about twice a year and what a great show they put on. We were so impressed and had so much fun. We will definitely get tickets for the next time they play there!
Opening act was The Mountaintop Strings, a group of middle-schoolers to college kids playing in a 16 piece string orchestra, really great set of modern rock. Desperado played about 2 hours, covered a lot of favorites. The sound mix was a little off with the drums being a little too hot/overpowering but the guys made adjustments through the night. Great harmonies and excellent technical skills on the guitar, their version of On the Border was outstanding. The Cave is a great venue, now that we have discovered Big Bear we will be back for sure.
A band overflowing with talent. Entertaining performance. No frills, no spills no gimmicks. The best tribute band we've ever seen. Thank you for coming to the Big Bear Valley.
We enjoyed the concert. The instrumentals were really good. However, the vocals seemed to be over driven, both by the amplifiers and vocalists. It is hard enough to hit all those high notes with male voices that the Eagles are famous for. Add some sound mixing that pushes the volume beyond the limit and it makes the music not as pleasurable.
