    Worst game ever- fireworks fantastic

by Outlawsfan on 7/10/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

We usually enjoy watching the Outlaws play but due to conflicts this was the first game this year. And they lost 22-9 which made for a very boring game. Before we buy tickets to another game this year we will look at how they had been playing overall. This was embarrassing as we had bought tickets and invited family and friends. For last year's national champions the performance was AWFUL!!!!! The fireworks were great and almost (though not quite) worth price of admission. We'd like to go to one more game but only if it looks as thought hey have a chance of winning.

I always love Love watching the lacrosse games. Since I go every year for 4th of July, It would be nice to see something new with the firework display. Otherwise it's pretty amazing!

Surprising defeat but the fireworks show rules

by LacrosseGuy on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

I have no idea what was the root cause of this defeat but after being trained in Canadian style lacrosse, it was painful to watch the Outlaws be on the receiving end of that style of play. The knife in the back was the end of half pass by Boston across half the field followed by a great catch and rapid shot into the Outlaw's goal. Still, the Outlaws never gave up and are great sports. You can tell they play for the love of the game and that is something everyone in Denver should be proud of. I would love to have the announcer describe the game of lacrosse and the role of sportsmanship in it for a brief minute or two before this special Fourth of July game, because I think many of the people attending know little about the sport (based on them booing the Boston Cannons as they came on the field). Most impressive was the sportsmanship both teams showed. There was quite a bit of hand shaking and friendly exchanges on the field between players and that more than anything should indicate just how much the players of this game value teamwork and sportsmanship above self. Where was Stix? He was much more prominent a few years ago. We saw him on the field only once this year and the videos of him were few and far between. The fireworks show was awesome, as always. Very impressed with it and it is a real crowd pleaser.

The game was fun even though the Outlaws lost. The fireworks show was AMAZING! This is the fourth year we have come on the 4th of July and it was another great experience.

    Outlaws Firewoks

by PreviousAttendee on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

The fireworks was not what it has been in the past. It seemed a little weird. The music was not very patriotic and the video was a huge distraction. The bright screen took a lot away from the fireworks and I didn't get the whole Jesse Girl song with the animal in the background stalker her....weird weird. I also thought see the players and the families was stupid. Next time just play music and turn the screen off. Pretty lame this year folks.

4th of July w/the Outlaws is PERFECT!

by TripletMomma on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

There are times in life when it hits you how wonderful this country is and how incredible Denver is as a place to live and raise children. For my three children and myself, that reminder comes every year during the 4th of July game when the Outlaws try to kick butt and take names. The Outlaws do their best to win, the half-time shows are very crowd engaging, and the fireworks bring tears to my eyes every time. The Outlaws honor those who have fought for our freedom in moving ways, the team works hard to win their games, the dogs chasing Frisbees during half time is a huge crowd pleaser, the announcer does a great job keeping it interesting for the little ones with engaging banter, and the fireworks with patriotic films on the big screen are a can't-miss experience. Having flown over New York harbor during the 1976 fireworks display and watched many fireworks over Avon lake in Vail for most of my life, I've seen some pretty spectacular reminders of how great our nation is no matter how much we all may agree or disagree with what's going on politically. However, the Outlaw's 4th of July experience, always brings you back to home. The real reasons why our country is a special place to live in its purest form. If you are disheartened by what's going on in our country, THIS is the game to attend in order to renew your faith in humanity, to relive why great sports are an important focal point in our lives, why those who fight for our freedom matter, and how great fireworks displays are meant to take your breath away! Go watch the Outlaws do their best. Go enjoy everyone united in a reminder of what the 4th of July is really all about. Go show your children why our nation is special. Above all else, go remind yourself why Colorado is the place so many love to visit and why we're lucky to live here people. It's worth every moment and every penny spent.

by Ziegen on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Lacrosse is an exciting game to watch! Lots of action. Wish that the Outlaws won on their home turf, but was satisfied with the game. I was watching and rooting for the Outlaws the entire game.

The fireworks where awesome as usual! However the Outlaws in the biggest game of the season and a game that could really help put lacrosse on the map and increase attendance for future games, etc. didn't even show up. The Outlaws for whatever reason weren't competitive and seemed to just give up and went through the motions. This was easily the most disappointing sporting event I've been to they made the Nuggets look good.

    Uninspired play

by DK713 on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Outlaws completely outclassed by Cannons. Team appeared to give up early in the second half. Fireworks were not as good as past years. The show from Elitches walking to the parking lot were actually better.

    Loud, sensory overload trivializes game

by BillSn on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Constant music (and generally bad music, turned up to 11), random drumming, flashing scoreboards while play is going on made the game itself almost a sideshow. A headache-inducing nightmare

    Always fun, but disgusting porti-potties

by Anonymous on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

We go to these games quite a bit. This is the first time we had experienced absolutely disgusting porti-potties while tail-gating. Looked like they hadn't been serviced since last event at Sports Authority Mile High. I won't go into details as to what was in all three of them but kids described them to a tee. Very surprised that they were in the condition as they were in for an important experience as the 4th of July game! I would recommend going to the games based off previous experiences but needed to share my disappointment. The game was disappointing, tough season. The firework show was spectacular as always.

Great game, too bad Outlaws didn't show up

by BobfromAccountemps on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

All set for a great evening, no fireworks on the field until after the game. Boston, with the exception of the first three minutes, was in total complete control. This was the highest attendance game in history, and the Outlaws chose to not participate. It looked to us like they didn't have any energy, or interest, in playing lacrosse. We don't go very often, and we sure won't be back this year.

No Outlaw fireworks on the field...

by RanchDad on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

The Outlaws were totally outplayed on the 4th. No energy, little effort, and displayed no trace of the ball movement and teamwork that made them champions last year. The firework show was incredible, although $32 is a bit steep if the on-field product is going to be so poor. Maybe back off on the Jumbotron action; a bit overwhelming and conflicted with the fireworks.

    outlaws were boring

by kikiaunt on 7/7/15Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

We are big lacrosse fan, but this game was not exciting at all. To make matters, worse stadium personal had the worst people skills we have every encountered. Between there selective bag rules to just rude. Will never attend a event there again.

The Outlaws, Mammoth and DU pioneers make the mile high city lacrosse capital of America for good reason. All three are simply amazing not to mention they have the best lacrosse player in the history of lacrosse, John Grant Jr. Plus as an additional bonus both rosters are filled with ex DU players
