    Great mash-up of klezmer and other genres

    What a great show. Daniel Kahn is a terrific performer and is bringing something new and exciting to klezmer while remaining emotionally true to the tradition. He's focused on one particular current that runs through the genre: anger, disenfranchisement, and its raw energy. It is, of course, only one facet of Jewish musical tradition and the political history of Jews, but what he achieves is meaningful and thought-provoking. And a lot of fun to listen to and watch.
