Cullen and Company were average by design.

by Dlishmusic on 4/16/18Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

The group played some older cover tunes only about 3-4 jazz tunes. They played-well but did not capitalize on jazz. Dave Cullen only played the second set. It seemed though the band was good they threw it togeather with a few rehearsals which would explain the limited jazz numbers.Maybe better to advertise “ a fun time with a dance band featuring........ “

    Could have been much better

by TheETDirector on 4/15/18Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

This performance left no doubt as to the musical chops of the performers, but this performance could have been much better. The set list was really surprising, with a considerable number of obscure songs for the casual music listener. The lone Steely Dan selection was odd and not particularly inspiring. Ending the the night on two consecutive Grateful Dead songs was also uninspiring, although most of crowd seemed to enjoy it. Other Aspects that fall into the "could have been better' camp were: 1) Craig Thatcher and Dave Cullen were only on stage together for the last song of the evening. It would have been enjoyable seeing these outstanding guitarists interact on stage more frequently; 2) Cliff Starkey was outstanding in his only lead vocal effort. Including a few more songs with him as the lead vocalist would have brought more soul to the overall performance; 3) Not a single Eric Clapton song was played. I was under the impression this was a foundation of Craig Thatchers"s performances. One song I never heard of before will now be forever on my play list: Cullen's rendition of "The Feeling Music Brings".

    Realistic Imitation of Clapton's Sound!

by TallRed48 on 4/22/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Eric Clapton Retrospective: Craig Thatcher Band is one fantastic show! We have seen them many time in Bethlehem at the Steel Stacks, as well as other venues, and they never fail to please! The band is SO versatile and can play many types of music from all sorts of "rock & roll" bands! Some you could close your eyes and almost think they were the real "thing". Try to follow them on their email site so you can go to hear them again!

Excellent! All the musicians are impressive and Craig Thatcher is amazing. I have seen Eric Clapton live multiple times, and Craig is an amazing likeness! Show should have been longer.

Craig Thatcher tribute to Clapton at Kirby Center

    by DMHenrie on 2/3/15F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Craig and his band were spot-on. Superb playing. Full band . Guitar, Bass, Hammond organ, Drums, Percussion and Violin. Part of beautiful Kirby theater lobby series. This artdeco theater is wonderful. Only negative was the two drunken women standing by the candy counter that wouldnt shutup. Along with another multitude of other rude things they did. Hope they and others like them realize how obnoxious they are, as well as, distracting to audience and band.
