Claude Stuart on Tour
To call Claude Stuart a high-energy performer is an understatement. As exhilarating and hilarious as Stuart's in-your-face style can be for audiences, his carefully honed jokes prove there's plenty of method to this madman's onstage mania. He's attracted comparisons not only to such masters of physical comedy as Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, but to the more cerebral if still plenty silly likes of Steve Martin.
Born and bred in Greenville, Mississippi, Stuart discovered his passion for comedy at an early age. As class clown, he admits he was no stranger to the teacher's paddle. Nor were his parents pleased when he chose stand-up over law school (his mother is a schoolteacher, his father a lawyer he compares to Atticus Finch). But they knew he was on the right path after he moved to Los Angeles and began landing TV and radio jobs, as well as feature-film appearances. His TV credits include spots on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,' ‘That '70s Show,' ‘Talk Soup,' ‘The Best Damn Sports Show Period,' and ‘Scrubs.' A writer and performer of his own morning radio program while still a student back in Mississippi, he's been a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated ‘The Bob & Tom Show.' Big-screen credits include ‘Starship Troopers,' ‘Man on the Moon,' and the Adam Carolla comedy ‘Road Hard.' Stuart's darkly funny online videos with the sketch squad known as Recycled Babies provide further evidence of his brand of lunacy. Recorded at a raucous show in Champagne, Illinois, in 2016, ‘Claude Stuart: I've Already Started...' is his latest video special.
While sharing screens with stars is part of his regular repertoire, onstage is where you'll find Stuart at his least restrained. A gifted physical comedian with an equal flair for self-deprecating humor, off-the-wall observational bits, and audience improv, Stuart has more skills and energy than any audience could demand.
