Great talent and creativity from young artists. Well produced show. I only wish it had been sold out so that the CityDance program would have received more financial support. People, please get out there and support the arts!!
The show was FANTASTIC!!! I would support CITYDance again.
terrific program in every way...loved the argentinian brothers...and also the ballet dancing. it is hard to choose a favorite...wish we could see it again.....
The energy and synergy of the performances was outstanding. It was exciting, and magnificent. I would definitely follow this company all around and go to more of their productions.
Unfortunate that the show started so late and patrons who a bought tickets had to wait outside- in slightly chilly weather- before being admitted past curtain time. Those in line were given the reason that the usher staff had not yet arrived or had come late. I'm not sure why the event was a surprise to anyone on House staff at the Lincoln Theatre. It seems the cues in the show were called slightly off (bow cues missed by performers, lights coming up before performers were on stage, etc.). Also there were 3 VOG voice-overs to note City Dance pieces, but this was already noted in my program, and it seemed the mic had come on mid-way through one of those explanations. I wish the dance company from which each piece came from was noted in my program more clearly. The finale reminded me of a children's recital.
Outstanding variety of dance - all kinds of talent!
Whether a dance enthusiast or not, this is a high quality, high energy performance with so much variety that everyone will leave smiling and energized. It's all there from ballet to break dancing, contemporary, tap, hip hop. Wonderful!
What a treat to have such a diverse group of dancers in one concert.
Good performances from a diverse bunch of dance troupes local and national. Some were excellent, some not so much. But really worth it, I was introduced to some talent that I wasn't familiar with before attending. Lincoln Theater is lovely although the seats are very uncomfortable and not good for short people like me! I had to bend to see over the tall person in front of me. Do something about those seats and this will rival any performance venue in the DC area
The sheer talent, ebullience, energy and creativity was amazing!!! How fabulous to see different styles of dance in one stage, treated with respect and sheer admiration!!! This was an unforgettable evening!! Please give us more!!
