    Weezer was so ooooooon good

by TPows on 7/27/15LC Pavilion - Columbus

I really only went for Weezer but the other bands were pretty good. Weezer was absolutely amazing and they sound great live. Sounds just like you hear on cd or mp3. They for sure bring the energy as they have a bunch of songs that are so fun to sing along to. I originally $50 was kinda expensive but it was so worth it and I would go again. I wish they would have played "In The Garage" though. Did I mention I went by myself and still had an epic night.

    CD102.5 Summerfest Rocked

by Anonymous on 7/27/15LC Pavilion - Columbus

Went to Day 2 of Summerfest at LC Pavilion and it was awesome. The venue is great for an outdoor show. The only thing I hate about the venue is the fact you can't bring in your own water and have to buy $3.00 water bottles that you couldn't keep the cap. That was dumb because you basically had to drink the water right away for fear of dropping your expensive water. The bands themselves were good and Weezer was awesome. Love them!

    Nope

I am a Cake fan, but now I am less of one. John McCrea did nothing but whine in between songs. He would not shut up and play the music we all came to see. What a waste of time - he put me in a terrible mood and lowered my opinion of him and colored how I will hear the music from now on. Everyone can have a bad day, but not at the expense of thousands of fans. Yuck. The music was still good - but we paid a high emotional toll for it! I did not know who Matt & Kim were prior to this - now I wish I still didn't know. A big pot of pig barf.

    Weezer is awesome

    by Jer79 on 7/27/15LC Pavilion - Columbus

Weezer puts on a hell of a show, highly recommend seeing them. Atlas Genius was good as well. Really liked the whole set up for summer fest. Will definitely go again next year.

Matt and Kim can turn a bad day good!

by HotSunandFun on 7/26/15LC Pavilion - Columbus

Got there at noon although we didn't need to, music was supposed to start at 4:30 but first act cancelled so we were left for dead with no entertainment or shade for an extra hour after already having been there for four hours in the sun. The heat was unbearable at 90 degrees and the sun was relentless. Water was super expensive and there were a lot of people who looked like they were going to die because they couldn't take any in with them. I really don't think anyone would have minded if the first act, Glass Animals, came out an hour early and the show ending a little early as well. HOWEVER, Glass Animals was extremely entertaining when they finally did come out. The lead singer and the keyboardist made the show super fun and it was enjoyable. Bear hands was okay, but in my opinion the music was not as good as the recorded music and the lead singer does something weird with his tJust don't get mad at her back, let it go. If you think she's acting childish why would you act childish back? ongue and mouth when he sings and it's really hard to watch because it kind of grosses everyone out. They also didn't put on a very good show as they didn't talk to the crowd or smile at all or even dance. Matt and Kim puts on a fantastic show. It was the day saver for all of us in our group. We have all be to 5 shows of theirs and highly recommend if you love to dance and just have a really good jumpy time. The lead singer of CAKE was kind of rude and the show was a bit drawn out considering that everyone had been there for at least 8 hours (12 for us at that point) and they kept demanding that the crowd sing their songs for 10 minutes straight and everyone was either too tired or drunk to keep it up. All over all though, it was a fun day and was worth the money I spent on it and was a good birthday present for my boyfriend.

    Summerfest was a BLAST!

    by sarah17noel on 7/26/15LC Pavilion - Columbus

CD 102.5 went all out for Summerfest this year. The concert started out with Glass Animals who set the mood for a fun summer night. Glass Animals even did a cover of a Kanye West song while the singer stood on top of the speakers. After them, Bear hands played. They were straight up rock and sounded really good live. While Bear Hands was playing, I got to meet the singer of Glass Animals and he signed the Glass Animals vinyl I had just bought at the merch table. SO AWESOME!! After Bear Hands, Matt & Kim gave an unbelievably amazing show. They both are so fun and carefree and really knew how to make the crowd go wild. They brought out tons of balloons, got people to crowd surf (which was hilarious), and Kim even danced in the crowd! There was also so much confetti. After Matt & Kim, CAKE came and played a great show to end the night off. CAKE is great at getting the crowd involved in their music and the trumpet player was on fleek thursday night. Overall, a great Day 1 of Summerfest! Cannot WAIT to see who comes next year!
