Loved it, loved it ,loved it. We had front row seats and had the best view of everything. Only complaint is that we were absolutely freezing. The air conditioning was blowing down our necks.
Seeing these fantastic belly dancers was indeed a treat. Energetic, beautiful and sensual...who doesn't love good belly dancing?!?!
I love Bellydance Superstars, and this show was no exception! The Bollywood music and dance really added to the show! And the two new dancers, Meera and Arthur Gulkarov were spectacular! This show was above and beyond!
Bombay Bellywood was totally awesome! Words can not describe what I saw with my eyes! Being a student of belly dancing I was expecting a good show but this show was GREAT! Very professionally done, I will definitely be seeing it again. :-) The fact that this show has traveled the world made a pit stop in my area was another reason to see it. It has motiviated me to continue working hard to achieve that level of dance.
I was disappointed. I was hoping for India the people the culture. What I got was Americans performing. Please don't misunderstand they were good. Culturally NO!
I was really happy to see Bellywood come to Durham. A friend and I have taken Bellydance classes and were excited to see professionals. I personally like the variations in music and dance styles...I particularly liked the more ethnic tribal. And it was great to meet other women who tell me about local groups and connection on line.
No matter how big a fan you are of belly dancing, I doubt you could sit and watch it for nearly 2 hours. Although the dancing was choreographed well and the dancers were really good, both the music and dancing became repetitive after a while to the point where I couldn't distinguish between different musical pieces. The only saving grace was probably their inclusion of Indian/Bollywood music and dancing into their routine. I think the group should add more variety to their performances to sustain the audience's attention.
Great music, costumes, dancing! The show was better than I expected it would be. Certainly got our moneys worth. It was very well done.
bombay bellywood was out of this world. My friends and I enjoyed it so much. The dancers are well trained and they love what they are doing. They are really amazing.
