Bobby Floyd Trio Tickets

I arrived at the theater approximately 10 minutes before show time only to find there were no available seats. I thought my ticket guaranteed a seat on the stage with the Bobby Floyd trio. My choices were to stand for the show or to sit in the balcony, far removed from the musicians and facing their backs. I chose to stand. The trio, itself, was fantastic. The management of the theater either needs to provide enough seating or sell only as many tickets as there are available seats.

This was the first event in the "Backstage at the Lincoln" series. Bobby and his mates have set the bar very high for all the other performers that will be appearing in this series. The jazz was remarkable. My wife and I are going to see Bobby again in January and we can't wait. Sitting on the stage just a few feet away from the performers brings back the feeling of a small jazz club that just isn't duplicated very many places any more. I hope to go to more "Backstage at the Lincoln" events and definitely see more of the Bobby Floyd Trio. The bass solos were especially cool.

Great Band. Too bad the Management over sold the seating. If you go to one of these events show up early to get a seat
