by LadyAstor on 2/25/13Valley Performing Arts Center - NorthridgeWhile Ms Neuwirth is undoubtedly talented, her cabaret show would have been better served by a smaller venue. She played for just under an hour & ten minutes, I was back in my car in the parking lot at 9:15! The song selections were meaningful to her but in most cases oversung and not intimate enough to serve the setting of just her and a piano. Her vibrato is so wide on sustained notes that they make her sound consistently under pitch.

Thirty-two years later, she is better than ever. Her selection of material coupled with her storytelling abilities as a singer were right on target. And her pianist was exceptional as well.
