    Don't bother

by ComedyGurl on 7/3/17Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

This comedian was not only not funny, he was angry and unprofessional and didn't like the audience from the start. The MC was also terribly not funny and I couldn't believe I paid to go to this.

We saw Barry Rothbart at Punchline Comedy Club in San Francisco and he was awesome! Just the right balance - had us laughing throughout the whole show. We highly recommend him, if he's ever in town - or in the town you're visiting!

    Awkward

by SFSophie on 5/27/13Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

There were a group of women obviously having a nice time and enjoying the show, but maybe a little too much. I know comedians hate people interfering with their routines, but it got downright ugly how much he hated them, shut the f* up, etc. I think there should be some cue the comedians can use to alert the staff to approach the guests to let them know that if they continue to disrupt the show, they would have to leave instead of me having to endure the onslaught of ugly verbal abuse. It took away the fun of the show, because it showed a mean side of Barry.
