Sweet Home Bethel Woods
by Analogmen on 7/20/17BWCA - BethelBad Co was predictably good but should have opened because Skynyrd was the class act. Lead singer Van Zant controlled the stage with power vocals and energy that blew the roof off the amphitheater. Johnny is the real deal and his sincerity for his fallen brothers who died too young was heat felt. The crowd was so into these guys that you couldn't help joining in. It was refreshing to see war veterans singing along with "gimme back my bullets". Something that this generation of soldier know little about. And of course the proudest moment was the encore anthem "Freebird" where dueling guitars matched one another for a thirteen minute tribute to the United States Bald Eagle.......A bird you can not change! Think about that America.
