Atlanta Dream History
The Atlanta Dream are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 2008, the team's name pays homage to Atlanta native Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have a Dream" speech. Despite the Dream’s relatively recent introduction to the league, the team has qualified for the WNBA Playoffs nine times and reached the WNBA Finals in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Notable players in the team's history include two-time Olympic gold medalist Angel McCoughtry and three-time All-Star Érika de Souza.

Atlanta Dream at Gateway Center Arena
The Gateway Center Arena, home of the Atlanta Dream, is a multipurpose arena located in College Park, Georgia. The 3,500-seat facility began construction in 2018 and has hosted the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League since its opening in 2019. The Dream joined in 2021 after previously playing at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Dream’s 2024 regular season tips off in May at The Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California against the Los Angeles Sparks. One week later, the Dream host a 2023 playoff rematch for their home opener against the Dallas Wings on May 21. The Atlanta Dream close out the regular season at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York against the New York Liberty on September 19. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

The Atlanta Dream have appeared in three WNBA Finals, in 2010, 2011 and 2013, but have yet to win.

The stadium was Spectular, the Dj was awsome, the game was captivating. I've never been to a stadium like that before. I'm from Detroit, and i came to see Naz Hillman play. I was super impressed, and cant wait to come to the next game.
I had a great Sunday afternoon with my wife at the Dream game ! Elite sports, entertainment, diversity, tolerance and a lot of love !!! That is how I would des I re our experience ! Will definitely come back!
We love the new location for the Atlanta Dream! Gateway Center is the perfect arena to be able to enjoy the game from any seat and it is a super nice, clean facility. As soon as you walk in, you get consumed by the loud music and fun atmosphere. The games are exciting and very interactive. We love coming to watch the Atlanta Dream!

Loved the excitement in the building. And the Dream are showing great improvement in management, and the team's roster. I will be coming back.
The experience was very entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It was my first time attending an Atlanta Dream Game and I'll attend more games moving forward. It was a great atmosphere and the arena is very accommodating. I shall return to take in more games and I will not be alone the next time I do so.

The game was packed and exciting. From the opening and the new theme song to the half time shows and fan games.

Everything went smooth, the lines were moving well, checking in with your tickets on the phone went very well no problems, I took my niece to the game we got our refreshment got to our seats and really had a good time and enjoyed the game.
Everything was great. The line to get in wasn’t long. The concession prices weren’t high. The games was amazing. The crowd and host were everything. Plus my team won so great night!!!

The game was amazing. The atmosphere was wonderful. My 6 year old daughter who wasn’t thrilled to go to the game at first, was dancing, screaming defense and completely into the game. We’re definitely going back!!

I attended the Memorial Day weekend Atlanta Dream game against the Phoenix Mercury with my family. It was an AWESOME experience for not only the girls but guys also! The backyard proximity to the airport combined with the electric atmosphere in the arena made it an awesome event to attend! I’ll definitely be back this season!🏀💕
It was a great experience! The fan interaction was outstanding. The seats were perfect. And, the Dream played great and won. My son and I are looking forward to going again, and bringing my wife along.
Some of the security staff were very rude as we were entering in the stadium. What really angered and disappointed me was we traveled from Delaware to Atlanta and decided to attend a game and support the team. I bought tickets right behind the bench 102 DD. After the game, it would have been nice to meet some of the players, and for my 2 Grandsons to get pictures with them, We were told if we didn’t have a wristband that we had to leave the building immediately. I asked where do we get wristbands and the guy said from the players, So basically the players only meet and greet family and friends, But what about THE FANS. Without the fans support there probably wouldn’t be a team. I can stay at home and choose to or not to watch a game.
No seat was a bad seat in this arena. Just remember if you visit ladies, make sure you have a clear bag to make your process of getting through security a little bit easier.
