Great organization for fan Fest. Voucher system w seating in between autographs was nice innovation and created a much more enjoyable experience than in past years. Memorabila auction prices a little ridiculous. Thought about skipping event after poor experience the last few years, but glad I didn't.
The presale of fanfest tix was a great idea! No hassle autographs! My kid had a blast!!
Upon entry from the rotunda into the ballpark there was particularly insufficient signage directing attendees to the session locations. The necessity to go down to the field for session tickets, only to have to return to the rotunda level for the session, was inconvenient. After a forty minute wait in line, Ian Kennedy is an inexcusable no-show at the first autograph session. Major disappointment (no disrespect to JJ).. The inflatables (specifically "the shark") were of poor quality. The steps to the top of the shark slide were worn, taped over, and did not hold sufficient air. Many of the kids (including the athletic ones) had considerable difficulty with the climb or were unable to reach the top, resulting in unnecessarily long lines. The unseasonably cold weather contributed to the overall disappointment. Tell me again about global warming.
Event was well planned. Everything went smoothly, except voucher sales. It took the sales person 20+ minutes to enter and print my vouchers for Kirk Gibson, Matt Williams and Alan Trammell. One other draw back - not much for adults to do, except wait in line for player autographs. Great idea moving the ballplayer autograph tables to the concourse. Good organization with the line monitors. Place to sit while waitning for the autograph guests to show up. Things went very smoothly. Looking forward to DBacks FanFest 2014.
Cant wait to go next year!!! So much fun for families and kids especially.
The event was great! First of all it was FREE as Chase Field was open to the public for the entire time this event was going on (8 hours) There were tons of things going on at this event too. There were lots of stuff for the kids as there were a bunch of bouncy houses and slides. There were tons of freebie giveaways as when you first entered, you got a complimentary scratcher card worth something if you win. Lots of booths around having spin the wheel for freebies, Fox Sports gave away a free t-shirt if you signed up for their text alerts, photograph sessions with the players and kids had their own line of autographs to go into as well. There was an activities center for the kids, caricature, balloons, bubbles, food, drinks, sign-ups for upcoming events, autograph sessions, interview areas with the players going on all day. I even bumped in to the D'backs owner Ken Kendrick and got a picture with him. Everyone was so nice! Great event to have for the fans and I look forward to next years!
From the ticket purchase to the entry line, everything seemed like a well-oiled machine. I particularly like the FAST LANE for season ticket holders ( nice touch). The players couldn't have been more welcoming and generous. Top notch event you put on this weekend! Thank you so much.
We have had season tickets for quite a few years but this is the first Fan Fest we attended. There were so many different booths at the event. They had a lot of kids' activities. The "Yard Sale" was interesting and I will be prepared for it next year. Autograph session was great---I got to meet my favorite player, Miguel Montero.
The team knows how to put on an event. Everything was well-organized, not some of the chaos I've seen at the Cardinals Fan Fest last year. My son got a bunch of autographs from players and coaches, and even through the waits were long sometimes, it was a great time. Only issue, no music playing - should have had a DJ.
