    WOW!

by WhoHash on 6/12/12Willett Hall - Portsmouth

Not to take anything away from the children. The children only learn what they're taught, and they work really hard. I'm just so tired of seeing innocent 4 year olds and pre-teens half-dressed and gyrating to a bunch of noise, Noise, NOISE! Some of the lyrics, if you were even able to make them out, were absolutely appalling and inappropriate for the age group. The music choices in general really left something to be desired. If it wasn't rackety and seductive, it was depressing and dark, if it wasn't depressing, it was weird, OR it was depressing AND weird. Don't get me wrong, there were some cute moments, but I tell you, I'm really glad I didn't have any children performing with this school. As a matter of fact, after about 1.5 hrs I couldn't hang anymore. I tried to tough it out and hang all the way through, I really did, but that was all I could take. I had to go, and good gosh what a relief it was to exit through those doors.

not all it could or should have been

    by n2retired on 6/12/12Willett Hall - Portsmouth

My grand daughter has gone faithfully to class on every Saturday there was a class with her tap shoes and ballet shoes . I did not see one ballet program or tap shoe progarm. The costumes were cute but I was totally disapointed. The dances were cute but it wasn't what I thought I was going to see. A big waste of money. She won't be going next year !

    Maureen's school of dance

by Anonymous on 6/11/12Willett Hall - Portsmouth

Not very good. The stage set up was not goo. The dancers were very inexperienced. I only liked two acts. There werer lots of interuptions. There were a lot of people were walking most of the time. The children who finished their acts were sent back to their parents, which meant most of them were leaving. I went to one at the Chryster (Mary Anne School of Dance) and it was outstanding. The stage and scenes changed , the costumes were awesome. There were lots of experienced dancers including children, older people etc.
