As usual, Anais was brilliant on stage. She and the Young Man Band were excellent and the crowd was very pleased. She sang a mix of her new stuff and some of her best older songs, with new arrangements. She invited two horn players from The David Wax Show, which made the performance an unique experience for this super-fan who's been to about 9 shows of hers.
Rachel Ries, who plays keys for the Young Man Band, opened the night with her beautiful voice doing her own solo work, which is also quite good.
Anais is always worth seeing. During this show, she described one of her appearances that disappointed her: New Years in St. Johnsbury, and I realized that I was there. And I enjoyed that one too, even though her set was forced to be too short. Definitely worth seeing any chance you get.
