What a wonderful evening to celebrate the MLK Weekend! This ensemble should have been presented at Carnegie Hall as they were that good. If they ever come to your city, make sure you check them out. From Spirituals, Jazz and Broadway, they mastered all and give you the history. The American Spiritual Ensemble is an American Treasure.
ASE was absolutely wonderful. The voices, the harmonies and solos, the expressive faces and narratives--all contributed to a fabulously beautiful and inspiring evening. Each singer was extremely talented in his/her own right and the arrangements were quite powerful.
The ensemble was filled with some world-class fingers, and it was very evident. I was thoroughly impressed and would watch it again
The ASE was a force….so many individual solo voices. Wonderful variety of music. The warmth of the performers was wonderful and the audience ecstatic. It was a memorable experience!
