About
Getting away with murder can be so much fun… and there’s no better proof than the knock-‘em-dead hit show that’s earned unanimous raves and won the 2014 Tony Award® for BEST MUSICAL—A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER!
Coming direct from New York, where a most gentlemanly NPR critic said he’d “NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD AT A BROADWAY MUSICAL,” GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession by – you guessed it – eliminating the eight pesky relatives (all played by one fearless man) who stand in his way. All the while, Monty has to juggle his mistress (she’s after more than just love), his fiancée (she’s his cousin but who’s keeping track?), and the constant threat of landing behind bars! Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance… and be done in time for tea
.
The Hollywood Reporter raves, “GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE RESTORES OUR FAITH IN MUSICAL COMEDY” and The New York Times cheers, “IT WILL LIFT THE HEARTS OF ALL THOSE WHO’VE BEEN PINING FOR WHAT SOMETIMES SEEMS A LOST ART FORM.”
Kindly get your tickets now for the new musical that will have you dying with laughter!

Rating: 4 out of 5by Anonymous on 10/13/15Bank of America Theatre - Chicago VERY entertaining! The story line is funny. The acting is superb. The first act (longest) dragged a little in its "middle" but, all in all an excellent performance. The second act, with its rapid fire transitions, was brilliant.

by Sometimes101 on 10/13/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoMarvelous venue. Talented cast. Special effects were truly very special. Lead performer was outstanding. Musical comedy with a mystery plot provides nice variety with entertainment with many components. See it and forget your troubles for an evening while you enjoy a unique production.

by RCAChicago on 10/12/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoMy wife and I really enjoyed the the musical. Fun story and easy to follow even if you can't understand every word of every lyric, since some scenes move pretty fast. Fantastic group of performers and you'll truly savor their talent and ability.
Rating: 5 out of 5by AnaU on 10/11/15Bank of America Theatre - Chicago Simple but hilarious show. What I imagine old time British musicals to be like, with comedy, great singing and tremendous acting. I hope it continues a great run and returns back to Chicago

Rating: 3 out of 5 Well performed and decidedly middle of the road
by Stolorg on 10/9/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoThe cast of the musical was excellent. Good presence, great voices. The sets creatively used the space. I'm a little neutral on the story though. There were some laughs to be had, but the musical on a whole didn't really grab me at any point. Something I'm happy I saw, but not at the top of my list.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing
by Anonymous on 10/7/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoI had such a great time. I was in a seat which was considered obstructed view, because it was to the far left. I saw everything fine though. The musical is hilarious. The whole cast is very versatile and it was delightful. This was my one treat to myself for the semester, as I'm a student. It was well worth the money. Very funny show, moves along great and the songs are witty and catchy.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 10/7/15Bank of America Theatre - Chicago It was great I would see it again with better seats
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Musical Theater Experience
by CubbyCat on 10/7/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoI loved A Gentleman's Guide to love and Murder. It is witty, hilarious, beautifully composed, and majectically artistic. The actors are fantastic singers and incredibly talented with song and physical comedy. The seats in the first row of the balcony were way better than expected. I was able to look down on all of the action without an obstructed view and for a very good price. The bright colors of the sets and costumes and physicality of the actors make this a perfect musical for balcony seating. I highly recommend seeing this musical before it leaves Chicago!
Rating: 5 out of 5 The Gentleman is a winner!
by Reviewer8958 on 10/7/15Bank of America Theatre - ChicagoHilarious story of love and revenge! Creative staging, beautiful love interests, wonderful voices and dastardly plot! Totally delightful evening!
