    7 walkers are awesome

by Anonymous on 7/29/12Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

the band put on a very tight show.when i say tight i mean the music flowed and kept you wanting to dance all night. when the band plays a grateful dead song they play it very close to the original version but put their own special spin on it. their original songs are also very good. i will try to see them whenever i get the chance.

7 Walkers were more than I imagined

by Kittkaboo on 3/29/11HOYT SHERMAN PLACE - Des Moines

I purchased their CD a couple of months ago and was very familar with their songs. The live concert was even better! The piano player/harmonica/trombone, etc was incredible and all were very talented. Thoroughly enjoyed the show!

    7 Walkers NYE

by NYCDeadhead on 1/3/11Silo - Reading

NYE with the 7 Walkers -- WOW! If you were on the East Coast and missed this show you definitely missed THE SHOW!!! As the opening notes rung out through the Silo, the lights began to tease the most amazing tie dyed tapestries in the world, you could easily tell that this was going to be one extraordinary, mind bending evening dripping with wide open extended jams with enough room for, well, whatever they had in store for us. With all parts moving together as one the audience was taken on a journey to the places in between and delivered gingerly back home… the only problem (if you could call it a problem) was that with each revolution the audience stood at the ready for the band to go deeper, further and back round again! True to form, the 7 Walkers continued to gracefully oblige with their hallowed swampadelic barrage of wonder. Their interpretations of Dead classics were woven seamlessly together with newly penned tunes and other traditional songs in a style and sound that undoubtedly belongs exclusively to the 7 Walkers... To add more fuel to the fire, Steve Kimock sat in for the entire second set, now that’s Southern Hospitality! If you did miss it, don't fret – it seems 7 Walkers is just getting started… They were announced as the headliner for Bears Picnic this Summer in PA – you should be marking your calendars! http://abearspicnic.com/

The Revolution is a kick ass place to see a show. Bobby Lee Rogers Trio blew my mind. Remarkable! 7 Walkers not so much.

    7 Walkers

by BobbaLee on 10/24/10Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Swampadelic Voodoo Rock at it's best. George Porter Jr. lays down a pulsating bass groove that Bill Kruetzman solidifies with his own drumming expertise. Papa Mali adds his vocal and guitar creations to lend fresh vibes to a host of both original and Grateful Dead material. Matthew Hubbard tosses in his keyboards and trombone to this atomic gumbo.. Trombone? Yes and it works!!. Hubbard's tone on this Dixieland brass horn lends it self to an evening of great sweaty bayou rock and roll. The band plays enough Grateful Dead classics to keep the curious engaged and the fans dancing and sweating. "Death Don't Have No Mercy'" is a 7 Walkers song now. "Wharf Rat" and "Bertha" had my wife swaying and jumping up and down. At times between the music and the crowd I felt like I was in roadhouse outside of Baton Rouge and Winterland in San Fransisco. This band has more than enough fire in it's originals and it's molding of classic tunes to play for a long long time.
