I saw 42nd Street on July 2nd and the production was a Broadway quality production. The singing voices were spectacular...the dancing was fabulous...and the acting was great!!!
The show was excellent, the cast was excellent. As good as any Broadway show I have seen. Congratulations for a top-flight performance.
My wife , brother and I saw 42nd St. on July 2. We all enjoyed it throughly. It was well acted and the singing was terrific. It was well worth the price of the tickets. Joe, Brightwaters, New York
Fabulous show! Really enjoyed this from start to finish! Hats off to the talented dancers for their high energy, precision steps, & their beautiful smiles! You made my family so happy that they left the theater dancing themselves! They could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed it! Thank you for your talents! God bless each of you! Thanks also to the crew and the costume designers. The show was terrific!
My wife and I were celabrating are 37th wedding anniversary on June 29th. We went to the show and were thrilled with the show and the people we met at the show. The usher found us wonderful seats and we could see every foot pounding step of the show. We will always have this as a special memory.
I have been to both on and off Broadway musicals. This was incredible. So much energy expended. Awesome singers, dancers and great actors as well. Would recommend this show to everyone.
Full of high energy, great music and dance. Would recommend to anyone looking for a worthwhile evening out on the town.
I've seen this show in Philadelphia and New York and realize Atlantic City's theaters are not specifically designed for Broadway type productions, so my expectations were slightly different than they would have been in a big city. The acting was really hammy and there was less tap dancing than I hoped for. Julian Marsh's line delivery sounded like a am radio DJ and everyone seemed to be shouting at one another, which in a small theater, was unnecessary. I had read a review that Peggy was a good cast choice, but there were more talented actors on the stage in my opinion. I'm not sure if it was her or the producer's interpretation, but her naivete bordered on silly and ditzy. I'm glad I only paid $25.00 for the tickets. I was really insulted by the Maitre D who stopped at the first level and looked at me expectantly while asking if I'd like him to "find me closer seating". The web site said general seating and I was plenty early to find my own "close seating". When I refused, he waved me off to the side - actually, the second level was a better view with no palm to grease. Overall, I'd recommend that someone see this for the price, if they were already in Atlantic City and it's raining and they're losing in the casino, and they had nothing else to do. Otherwise, get on a train and go to New York or Philadelphia.
The production of 42nd Street at Resorts Atlantic City was comparable to the production we saw in Philly many years ago. Top notch!! The lead actress has an amazing voice. The costumes are spectacular. Well worth the ticket price.
