ADAM RAY ON TOUR:
If edgy, no-punches-pulled comedy is what you’re after, look no further than Adam Ray- the quick-witted actor and stand-up veteran known for his uncompromisingly off-color humor. Ray has brought the laughs to blockbuster movies including 2015’s SPY, TV hits such as Arrested Development, and late night shows like Craig Ferguson, and his rapid-fire stand-up act leaves no question why he’s in such high demand. Nothing is off-limits during his fast-paced routines, and his hilarious bits on familiar stuff like Pinkberry and Denny’s always have ticket buyers rolling on the floor. Ray will be slaying audiences with his tell-it-like-it-is brand of comedy during a residency at the Laugh Factory at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, NV in late 2015/ early 2016.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Washington-born comedian Adam Ray cut his teeth making comedy sketches for his high school TV station before moving to Los Angeles to study acting at USC. After graduating he broke into the film and TV industry with roles on shows like Two Broke Girls and WORKAHOLICS and appearances in successful films like The Heat and SPY. In addition to writing for MTV’s PUNKD he’s performed standup on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Adam Devin’s House Party on Comedy Central. Ray also co-hosts the podcast About Last Night, interviewing comedy heavyweights like Bob Saget, Lisa Kudrow, and Dana Carvey. His sketches on YouTube and Funny or Die boast more than 30 million views, and he keeps the laughs coming every time he performs one of his scathing stand-up routines.

Great venue, good service and Adam Ray didn’t disappoint! This has been the second time I’ve seen him and he was excellent had me laughing his whole set, would definitely recommend seeing him. I will see him again next time he comes back to Sacramento.
I have seen Adam Ray before, and as usual, he was great. The show included three other comics, seemed longer than usual, and was well worth the money paid for the tickets. If there was any complaint, it would be the seating at the venue itself. I have mentioned this in other reviews of shows at the Punchline Sacramento. This year the Punchline changed their seating policy. It was assigned seating in the preferred seating section (near the stage). Now, all seating at the club is general (first come, first served style). It seems that the staff seat you where they would like, rather than in the best seats possible. There is really no discussion regarding this issue. Either staff do not understand the policy, or they would rather not discuss it. This is an issue that will determine whether or not I will continue to attend events at Punchline Sacramento (I go about once a month).
Great show! Good openers, and Adam Ray absolutely killed. Afterwards at the meet and greet he was an awesome guy also. 10/10. Great night all around.
Funniest show I’ve been too! Definitely recommend !
Great show, but he focused on some annoying heckler as a punchline for far too long. sacramento is famous for idiots in the crowd, but Adam spent far too much time on this heckler and it became cringe. Love Adam, but he def jumped the shark at the 945 show on Friday.
Great show! Adam is funny. This is the second time seeing him live. I listen to his podcast, as well. He is a hard working comedian. Love it.
small sunday night crowd but still brought it made it feel like a packed night. Thank you Adam Ray will be seeing you again when you come to SF
Headliner Adam Ray was hilarious and the comics before him were pretty funny as well. Punch Line Sacramento is a great little venue! We were super close to the stage in General Admission seating.
There's a bouncer with a fragile ego and his manager who's sworn to kick anybody out that insults him. They are running it like a daycare for bouncers and costing the company money. It's typical when people with no real skills are given the slightest bit of authority (similar to the TSA) - it goes to their heads.
