Will definitely recommend to friends and family after that performance as well as vibe.
After attending the Outside event last year my expectations may have been higher than they should have been because the lineup for the Drop-in portion was epic last year! I was not as impressed with anyone this year except for Tim Dillon (he killed it!). As far as the headliners, Adam Ray was entertaining as Dr. Phil, Morgan Jay was pretty funny, but the auto tune got old after a while, and I didn't get or enjoy Reggie Watts at all...It was cool to see the cast from That 90's Show play family feud. The Roast Battle had great judges, and I wish they did some stand-up. Next year it would be nice to have a few more A list comedians drop in...
Good location. Parking was nearby. Comedians were great. Food trucks were yummy. Was cold - space heaters would have been great. Porta potties not good. Attendant was not attending to the peed on seats. Flushing porta potties would be awesome! Thanks for the laughs! Would totally go again.
Took my girlfriend to see Morgan Jay as she had seen him on TikTok. His bit was really good, especially how he interacted with the crowd. We stayed to watch Reggie Watts afterwards and I will be honest it was pretty bad. He just performed lyrics over some loops and I assume that was supposed to be a joke? It wasn't very entertaining, I even fell asleep lying on the grass.
We attended 4 events in 1 week as part of our visit to LA. We saw such a mix of comedians at different types of events and venues ... it was a very well-run festival with a variety of events and comedy. It really made our trip a trip of a lifetime. Would consider traveling for it again (from Ireland!)
Wow... for only the second year.. this festival was amazing. A killer lineup both weekends... A wonderful collection of new and classic talent. Different venues, really felt L.A. It felt very connected to the platform and I'm looking forward to seeing the shows I saw live on Netflix. I loved that you eventually changed it to if you had seen any show you could also attend the Outside Netflix event for free. My only concern was that I'd already bought those tickets for Outside along with Tom Segura, Ron Funches and Anthony Jesselnik. Outside Netflix was a TON of fun... just drinks were too expensive... and no water station?? Even more show connections with Netflix and special appearances would be awesome. The VIP area was a waste of space could have had some more engaging and interactive stuff in it instead of what it was. I'm looking forward to watching how this festival gets bigger/better every year.
The amount of amazing comedians that are here for Netflix is a Joke. Fest is wonderful! So many up-and-coming and well-seasoned comedians in Los Angeles. I thoroughly enjoyed my time attending these events and can't wait to attend more next year.
A fun blend of comedians and fun! A ton of fans out to celebrate Will and Cara’s foundation. Perfect length to the show - silent auction ran a little long, hit it was for a good cause, so no complains. Nice MC’ing by Cedric and magician at the end was a fun way to close the show.
I didn’t realize this was a fundraiser when I purchased the tickets. Don’t have a problem with that but the format was very different than your typical show. We really came to see Tom Papa and were actually happy he came on stage so soon in the evening but, as soon as they started the auction we left without seeing the remaining acts. So did a lot of others it seemed. And the crowd was pretty unruly that night. Got stuck in front of a gal who thought she was in church and every comedian was speaking directly to her - loudly.
The festival itself was alright, the food was kind of meh (I tried Love Hour and the burgers were pretty unimpressive). The comedians themselves were pretty entertaining though and I love Leslie Jones!
