The Psychedelic Furs scored in the ‘80s when John Hughes featured “Pretty in Pink” in his classic 1986 teen comedy Pretty in Pink, naming his film after The Furs’ song. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass, the band’s 1981 sophomore album Talk Talk Talk (featuring “Pretty in Pink”) debuted on the Billboard 200. Their follow-up, Forever Now (1982) included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Love My Way,” a staple of ‘80s Top 40 radio. Their 1987 release Midnight to Midnight because their highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single “Heartbreak Beat.” The Furs went on hiatus in the ‘90s and reformed in 2000 for a co-headlining tour with The Go-Go’s and B-52’s. In 2017, the band's 1984 song "The Ghost in You" was featured in Netflix’s Stranger Things.

Enjoyed the show, although the sound was a little flat. Opening act was not my cup of tea. Would like to see return visit at the Sound.
The warm up band was terrible! We waited way to long for the Furs to come on. It seemed like they were lip sinking . Drinks were very expensive! Long lines at the bar .all and all not satisfied.
The Furs were awesome but the opening Duo band was a disaster , wrong crowd fir the awfully lyric country music
The Furs were awesome. They sounded amazing and the venue is always awesome and small enough to get a great view.
Saw the Furs in the 80’s and were great then. Although a little older, STILL killed it. Brought my 30ish kids and they were Amazed. As usual House of Blues was spot on. Bar workers and attendants were 100% polite and helpful. Looking forward to my next HOB Anaheim show. 🤙
The P-Furs made my night. It was super crowded but I managed to get a good spot. I have been a fan for ages and I’m glad they played old, rare and new songs. Great night, don’t miss the Furs!
Loved it!! They sounded great, looked great & the venue was perfect!
The sound quality was terrible! Loud is ok, but when the bass is so high it made it distorted. Many of the people had to walk out into the bar lobby to watch. We left after about six songs. Very disappointing because with better quality The Psychedelic Furs would have been much better.
How, after all these years, does his voice sound the same? The nuance of him, the 'ghost in' his tones, like an audio-portal to the great sounds of the 80's. What a treat!
These guys put on a heck of a show- the stage presence, musicianship, sound quality.... it was as good as the studio recordings but better. The musicians were incredibly talented and shared equal spotlight. My husband was not a new wave or PF fan, so he went in not expecting much. He left a total fan who hasn't stopped listening since. Will definitely see again!
