John Mulaney is a three-time Emmy and WGA award-winning writer, actor, and comedian.
Mulaney can be seen in his latest Netflix stand up special, BABY J. Released in April 2023, Mulaney converts his personal turmoil into comedic brilliance, which earned him 2023 Emmy nominations in Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and won him an Emmy for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special. BABY J, recently earned the 2024 Critic's Choice Award for Best Comedy Special (non-televised). On tour, he has sold out massive venues around North America from Madison Square Garden multiple times to the Hollywood Bowl. His 2023 tour dates included shows across US, Europe and Australia.
In 2018, John Mulaney traveled the United States with sold out Kid Gorgeous tour, which was later released as a Netflix stand-up special and won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special; In 2015, he released The Comeback Kid, also a Netflix original, which The AV Club called the "best hour of his career;" In 2012, his Comedy Central special New In Town had Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly hailing him as "one of the best stand-up comics alive."
John Mulaney has been invited to host Saturday Night Live five times. He began writing for SNL in 2008 and created memorable characters such as 'Stefon' with Bill Hader and appeared as a "Weekend Update" correspondent. He has written for IFC's Documentary Now! and Netflix's Big Mouth, on which he voices the character of Andrew. In December 2019, the critically acclaimed and Emmy nominated musical variety special John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch debuted on Netflix.
He's also starred on Broadway in the runaway hit written and performed alongside Nick Kroll in Oh, Hello On Broadway. The duo have since release a Netflix special of the same name, as well as Oh, Hello: The P'dcast, based off their characters Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland.

There’s a reason why David Letterman is in awe of John Mulaney, it’s because he’s awesome! We laughed the entire time. Just go see him now!
John Mahoney was terrific, as always. However the experience was unexpectedly fraught. I go to the Hollywood Bowl several times a year; they NEVER start late. In this case, over half an hour late with no explanation on a particularly cold evening. The lack of phone use meant it was difficult for my partner and I to find each other when we were separated by the crowd. I've been to sold out shows at the Bowl before, including last year, but this was really crowded. Why not start on time? seriously
We came to see John Mulaney because he is so talented, whimsical and funny. Nick Kroll may be his friend, but he is not funny and was painful to listen to - couldn't wait for him to be off the stage. Moving forward, John should just do the show alone and not have the other two "warm up"individuals trying to perform comedy. The show would have been much better if it was only John Mulaney.
He looks so good and he did such an amazing job. I’ve always liked John and I think he was incredible, the bowl was PACKED.
No liquids of any kind at a place where people are used to bringing full on picnics. Must say I was very disappointed. It was not as fun as it usually is. The usual come with a bottle of wine, catch up with friends, enjoy a picnic, see a good show. This was not that. I understand it is a lease event and as such there are different rules so they can squeeze every dollar out of it but being hounded for needing hot water for a cup of tea and being told it would cost you 5dollars when you have the cup and the tea bag was just fun sucking (I know first world problems). Next time I will pass on the lease events and see the comedians at a more traditional venue. I guess Hollywood Bowl should be saved for the traditional events which are more fun than this was. Oh John was funny, so there was that. Would have been funnier if I enjoyed my picnic more. Thanks
funny as always, comfortable seats, overall great show
John’s story telling and relatability make for a great evening of laughter. He manages to interweave poignancy, drama and humor with the right amount of flair. It was a great night and we are thrilled to have seen him in person. Thanks John!
The show was great! Nick Kroll opening was definitely a treat and John was amazing throughout the whole show!
I had the best time. Mulaney was great, the staff was great. Had the most fun!
