Edmonton Stingers History
The Edmonton Stingers are two-time champions of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The Stingers competed in the CEBL’s inaugural 2019 season, finishing in second place before falling in the postseason semifinals. However, redemption was close behind as the Stingers secured their first CEBL Championship in 2020, then repeated the feat in 2021, becoming the league’s first back-to-back title winners. Both runs followed dominant regular season performances, in which the Stingers topped the league and set the CEBL’s all-time highest regular season winning percentage (.929) with a 13-1 record in 2021. The Edmonton Stingers organization has accrued multiple accolades, including 10 All-CEBL selections, three MVPs and two Coach of the Year Awards.

Edmonton Stingers at Edmonton EXPO Centre
The Edmonton Stingers have competed in The Flair Airlines Hangar at the Edmonton EXPO Centre since their inaugural 2019 season. The 4,628-seat arena sits within the larger Edmonton EXPO Centre complex, which is located in the City of Edmonton’s Montrose neighborhood. The venue opened in 1984 and has hosted many conferences, exhibitions and hockey matches over the years. The Edmonton EXPO Centre hosted the 2021 CEBL Championship, where the Stingers won on their home court.

It was our first Stingers game everyone had a great time. Quality of the basketball was excellent our boys loved every minute. Tickets,food and drinks were very affordable and sight lines in that arena are great anywhere. Highly recommend catching a Stingers game!!

My wife and I just found out that Edmonton has a Basketball Team called the Stingers. Since then we have gone to 5 games already. We enjoy it so much. If you are looking for a summer sporting event, we highly recommend the Edmonton Stingers. The prices start at $20 for a ticket, with free parking and meals $5 and under. They have great players on the team with Brody Clarke, Aher Uguak, Nick Hornsby just to name a few
We enjoy going to the games because it is great basketball in an excellent facility at Flair Airlines Hangar. It is convenient to park for free and the games are affordable! The team is fun to watch in fast paced games with many highly skilled players!
First time attending a Stingers game and it exceeded my expectations!!! Tickets were priced right, food as well. it is a great family event and the atmosphere was excellent 👍
