Maybe best for hardcore fans only
by SteveJ on 4/23/24Saw them in Chesterfield Missouri a few weeks ago. The lead singer was just ok. Not bad, but nobody ever got goospimply over his Freddie M. imitation. I'm a mild Queen fan (though I loved the bohemian raphsody movie), but my wife's a big fan. She enjoyed the concert much more than I did. And those around us who seemed to know every word of every song seemed to be having an excellent time. So it's maybe not fair for me to criticize. But one major beef I'll have is that the lead singer way, Way WAY, over-prodded the audience to get up on their feet and dance. Over and over again throughout the show. You gotta earn it dude. That part was cringeworthy to watch. Oh yeah, one other thing. The sound-board guy is absurdly in love with bass notes that make you feel like you're being punched in the gut. Over, and over, and over, all night long. Kind of cool at first but just torturous over the course of a couple of hours. I grew up in the 60's and 70's loving live rock and blues, and never, ever heard absurd levels of bass like that.
