About

Music really does have the power to save, and R&B singer KEM has the story – and the Grammy nominations – to prove it. After a troubled adolescence that included homelessness and addiction, the singer turned his life around through music and an interest in spirituality that has informed his sound and songs ever since. In 2013, KEM released What Christmas Means: Deluxe Edition, an album of spiritual songs featuring R&B legend Patti LaBelle on “Jesus” and Ledisi on “Be Mine For Christmas.” Previously, KEM released 3 gold-certified albums in the 2000s through Motown Records, a label that perfectly suits the classic, throwback sound found on successful singles like “Love Calls” and “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” His 2010 album Intimacy: Album III peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning him 2 Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Song for “Why Would You Stay.” On the road in 2013 with his What Christmas Means Tour, KEM has been treating ticket buyers to his classy take on holiday spirituality, earning rave reviews for his intimate, inspiring live concerts.

Trying to find parking was a challenge because I did not do VIP parking. The show was amazing! I look forward to seeing my favorite artist again. The DPAC was a very nice facility.

    Real talented singers

by Jr on 5/15/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

All the artist this night were outstanding. Everyone can truly sing! Its wonderful to see artist from the 90's really know how to sing and not just beautiful looking people. My only complaint is the floor seats I got was hard to see the stage at time because big/tall people would stand up and block my view, even the big jumbo screens were hard to see at times. The better seat are on the side left or right. Overall every artist this night did their thing and would pick better seats and gladly see them again. We enjoyed our night.

This was my 1st time seeing KEM perform live and he did not disappoint. He has a long range soulful voice with him own unique style. I loved every bit of his performance. Thank you

    ✨Kem’s Performance was great!✨

by Bryssa on 5/14/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

His music live sounds almost as good as it does on Power 99, Philadelphia, only better. I loved his songs and knew most of the words, Kem proudly talked about his life experiences, family dedication and growth. He had a rymthmic jazz sound going on as well. Great show at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City!!!

    Bad Sound

by T Shams on 5/14/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The Sound is poor at these Platinum Production shows. It’s like all the sound logistics are tone and set to the main artist ONLY. Although I knew all the songs to each artist, it was hard figuring out what song they were singing. It’s like all the sounds just be crashing together, But not for the main artist, the sound is a little clearer.
