Bluey show- overpriced & VERY short!

    by Amanda G on 5/16/24

VERY disappointed! Show started at 6:00 which were arrived at that time. We live an hour and 45 mins away & hit traffic. Got to the venue to find out it was at the venue down the street. So we then had to walk about 6 blocks which then made us 15 minutes later. We then of course had to use the bathroom. Got our OVERPRICED merchandise (my son’s light up toy stopped working before we even left the venue). By the time we sat down it was almost 6:30. Next thing we know the show is OVER at 6:50. Not even an hour show. I’ve been to a lot of shows & timing was horrible. I thought you know maybe when we walked in along with at least 20 other people behind us the ticket people would tell us the show is only 50 minutes. Or maybe even told about the ending time when tickets were purchased! DEFINITELY over priced for the length of the show. The 20 minutes of the show we got to see was very good & funny but my daughter was in tears of the length & sad we had to leave already.

    Disappointed

by AshNic122 on 5/2/24Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium - Spartanburg

Very short show. Extremely overpriced merchandise. ($10 mini plush resold for $25) Card only vendors. Meet and greet hosts were very nice, but they insist on taking the pictures on your phone and they are terrible. Blurry and missed moments. This was mentioned on Reddit review, unfortunately it ended up being the case for us. Entire experience, including vip, lasted around an hour and 20 mins. Obviously much less for those only seeing the show. Show was sweet and child enjoyed the story. Parents will just be let down due to cost.

    Not worth the $$$

by Kelly on 5/1/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

$250 for 4 tickets in the balcony section - it was only a 40 minute show! The puppeteers were people (in bright outfits for some reason) just controlling these huge puppets by standing right behind them. The kids in the balcony got pretty gypped (as a lot of people have already said, they released a bunch of huge balloons, but none in the balcony's, so all the kids just watched as everyone below played).

    Wackadoo!

by magpie206 on 5/1/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

What a fun time with our family -- kids are 5 and 1. They were engaged, squealed with glee, and began their theatre-going life early. Thank you so much for making this wonderful opportunity to spend more time with Bluey and her family.

Great play for kids that love Bluey

by FLYILM on 5/1/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

This play was short but sweet and kept the kids and parents engaged and laughing. Loved the interactive keepy uppy at the end.

Had a great time with the grands

by CLS on 4/30/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

It was a wonderful production. It kept the grandkids interest, ages six and two. Just the right length and a wonderful storyline. Loved the ending with the bubbles and the balls in the air.

    Mesmerizing!

by JE on 4/30/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

What an incredible performance!!! Watching Dad, Mum, Bingo and Bluey come to life with the help of a talented cast was just mesmerizing! Our three granddaughters were captivated from the beginning and loved every moment. No better sign of how captivated they were than the two-year-old sobbing and reaching for the stage as the Healers left the stage! She was in love and was devastated to see the show end. Pops, the grandfather, reflected that, in typical Bluey fashion, the show also ended with a tear for us adults as Chilli called her sister to reconnect after a long time of being separated. Tears! What we adults often do as we watch this show with the kids! Bluey delivered for all of us!!! And the DPAC was perfect from beginning to end. Free digital pictures! Seat boosters for the toddlers! Helpful staff! Great sound and lighting. A fun game of Keepy Uppy! I wish it could have lasted for hours — but, hey, the kids were close to nap time! DPAC’s timing was great for naps, too!

    Awesome/ disappointed

by Kat on 4/30/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

The show was great we bought VIP tickets spent over $200 was supposed to receive a gift but the gift look like something you would get from a McDonald’s happy meal for all the money spent. It was very disappointing! Absolutely ridiculous! The ushers working at the venue were very nice! I know now to never spend that kind of money on VIP tickets it was not worth it!
