YOUNGTAK Live in Concert

Originally from Andong, South Korea, Park Young-tak began his career in 2004 by winning the first Yeongnam Song Festival contest, using the winnings to become a singer. His first major release, Disia EP (2006), short for digital single album, came as a prize for winning a singing contest. After Young-tak joined a group called L-Class, they released an album titled Don't Go in 2009. After that, he worked on several soundtracks for various shows and movies. Young-tak eventually began working as an adjunct professor. His love for singing was reignited when he appeared on the Korean reality television show "Hidden Singer 2." After signing with Milagro Entertainment in 2016, Young-tak launched his first full album, Nuna You Are Perfect. He released the single "Why Are You Coming Out From There" in 2018, a song about a boyfriend finding out his girlfriend is cheating on him, which Park based on a personal experience. The single soon went viral on TikTok, popularizing it throughout South Korea. In 2019, he successfully auditioned for the reality show "Mr. Trot," which is one of South Korea's most popular television shows. While coming in second overall, Young-tak's performance of "Jjiniya" did very well on the music charts, despite being a trot song on a ballad-dominated list. This led to his signing a deal with New Era Project. Among the multitude of awards Young-tak has won, his highest achievement to date is the prestigious Grand Prize at the 30th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards for his hit song "Jjiniya." On Spotify, YOUNGTAK has more than 20,000 listeners per month. His most popular track, "Jjiniya," has been streamed more than 1 million times. "Why Are You Coming Out From There," his second most popular song, also has more than 1 million streams.
