The WWE is the world's largest wrestling promotion corporation. Founded by Jess McMahon and Toots Mondt in 1953 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the organization now hosts more than 500 events per year across the globe. In 1982, McMahon’s grandson Vincent K. McMahon bought Capitol Wrestling and was fundamental to turning the WWE into a widespread and enduring sports entertainment product.
Initially, McMahon built up the WWE roster with future superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper and Jesse Ventura and launched the organization’s annual marquee event, WrestleMania, in 1985. Over the years, WrestleMania has offered plenty of unforgettable moments like the Hulk Hogan-André the Giant championship match in 1987, the generation-shifting face-off between Bret Hart and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in 1997 and The Undertaker’s 21-year winning streak at the event. The WWE will celebrate the 40th annual WrestleMania in 2024.
By the late ’80s and early ’90s, there was a full roster of hardcore brawlers, including Shawn Michaels, Hart, Ric Flair and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who were later joined by a new crop of “Attitude Era” stars such as Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and Mankind as the organization grew into a touring juggernaut. Another infusion of talent joined the WWE during the late aughts and early ’10s, including John Cena, Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey.
The WWE continued to reinvent itself as it created the separate Raw and SmackDown brands in 2002, launched various offshoot brands including the ECW and WWE NXT and introduced a 24/7 streaming network in 2014. The companies behind the WWE and mixed-martial arts promoter Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) merged into TKO Group Holdings in 2023.

So much fun. Most fun 2 nights I've ever had in my life. WWE knows how to put on a show
Saw the Smackdown , NXT , and Raw shows at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia that took place before and after Wrestlemania . The venue is great ... had excellent views of the ring . The shows were all good ... but I noticed a LOT more talking and promotion of Wrestlemania and future events than in ring action on the Smackdown and Raw shows . NXT was the best overall show of the trilogy ... Many excellent performers and stand out matches ... The main event of Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes was worth the price of the 3 tickets all by itself . Looking forward to WWE returning to Philadelphia soon ... REALLY hope NXT will come back in the near future !
Amazing seats! And such an amazing event felt like being apart of history and getting to experience with people with the same love. See you next year!
One of the first and best experiences I've had in my life love WWE everything was perfect.
I was lucky enough to attend the greatest Wrestlemania of all time in Philadelphia!
Everything is always made easy with Ticketmaster and WWE. Their shows always deliver.
I paid really good money for these tickets although not Ticketmaster’s fault but wwe had the brightest lights shined directly on our face we couldn’t see half the time or take pictures
This was one of the Greatest wrestlemania’s by far thank you wwe Cody has finished his story
I attended Wrestlemania 40 on a 2 day combo ticket , meaning I had a ticket in the same section and seats for both shows . After a slow start to the card in night one, the WWE went above and beyond my expectations to deliver a solid section packed show filled with many surprise appearances for night 2 . Overall making this the best Wrestlemania I have ever witness live and in person as well as ever watched . This event totally exceeded my expectations. Thank you. WWE
After 10 years I went back and honestly can't complain fights where amazing love everything
Had a fun experience and my seat selection was better then I expected. I have not been in the Wells Fargo Center for a very long time and expected worse. I enjoyed the show and the crowd was awesome.
Great experience, very entertaining. I went with my wife and a couple friends, the selection of the venue was great and a lot of work was put forth to make sure fans walked away entertained.
Seats extremely overpriced. Due to the short ramp the ring was not central therefore it was hard to see everything
Awesome experience from start to finish. Kudos to all of the wrestlers that took the time to thank the fans with selfies and autographs. Special thanks to Cody Rhodes for making my grandson’s experience one he will never forget.
everything went well .I love the wwe & and finally attendend my first ever wrestlemania.
Atmosphere at WM40 was awesome. The stage could have been better compared to years past. Still some vantage points were that great even sitting on the floor. I don't think all the matches were at WM level but the main events over delivered and in the end, we had an awesome time.
Show would of been great if the light wasn't position in a way it was in everyone's eyes. I event went down to say something and people were screaming turn the light off. Next time use a real lighting crew like Light Actio.
this was an awesome experience!!! I am just wishing I could stay for both nights next time. I've never been to an outside PLE and this didn't disappoint. I think my only complaint is that there were not any surprises (other then the 2 Eagles football players) or interferences during the 1st night. A little more of night 2 in night 1 would have been the cherry on top.
Life long dream of mine to attend Wrestlemania and Monday Night Raw and was very fortunate to be able to afford it this year and have my 12 year old son with me and WOW what a spectacular weekend it was. From start to finish I was gobsmacked at how the events were put together. I will definitely be attending further Mania and wwe events
