About

Wingtip on Tour

Vivacious yet soulful, Wingtip is a DJ with a love for making people move. Nick Perloff-Giles, who goes by the stage name Wingtip, blends pop, disco and indie sounds into a heady mixture that can be described as both groovy and expressive. Wingtip's 2022 tour took him across the United States, going coast to coast following his Everything Forever EP. In 2019, Wingtip performed his first headlining tour, Ghosts of Youth, after the release of his EP of the same title, which also took him throughout the continental United States.

Live shows from Wingtip combine the kinetic energy that keeps people moving with powerful but still wonderfully honest music. As his sound has developed, Wingtip has been able to mix these influences to create something truly novel. While exploring his sound, Wingtip has allayed the fears of those who came for his disco-inspired sound in an interview with Run the Trap promising, "Don't worry -- your dancing shoes will be used." Initially making remixes, Wingtip launched onto the scene with his 2017 breakout hit single "Rewind," which featured singer/songwriter Sophie Strauss. In 2018, Wingtip released his first EP, Ghosts of Youth. He released his first full-length album, All Your Friends Are Here, in 2020, which was later followed by the 2022 album Everything Forever

Wingtip Live in Concert

After working in advertising and a short-lived stint as a comedian, Wingtip found his calling in music. Beginning his music career with disco-inspired tunes, he decided to name the artistic project "Wingtip" after the dancing shoes, even going so far as to wear silver wingtips onstage when he first started performing. Though starting out his career in Brooklyn, Wingtip has since moved to Los Angeles. When asked what his dream collaboration would be in a 2017 interview with Four Over Four, he answered that it would be the band Five For Fighting.

Signing with Casablanca/Republic Records in 2017, the ever-ambitious Wingtip has worked to expand from his disco-inspired roots at the start of his career into more emotionally expressive music to reach people off the dance floor as well as on, highlighting the raw emotion by juxtaposing it with sounds pulled from dance music. Always experimenting and pushing his sound in new directions, Wingtip's music has evolved to be more honest and raw while still keeping in touch with his roots in dance and disco.

Wingtip's Spotify has more 600,000 listeners a month. His smash hit "Rewind" has been streamed more than 44 million times. His singles "Heartworks" and "Pavement" boast more than 15 million and 10 million streams, respectively.
