    Complimentary water

    by Yvonne on 1/29/24

Another advice to the host, it would be nice if you all also offered complimentary water, at least one bottle. LET'S DO BETTER!!!

    NO FOOD NO FUN!

    by Yvonne on 1/29/24

This was my 1st time at a wine event who DID NOT offer (sale) FOOD. Very disappointed, the event was misleading, as mentioned in other reviews it's titled "WINE & CHOCOLATE FEST"with only one chocolate fountain available which was wack (it served marshmallow, pretzels and strawberries, oh and a donut hole, one of each on a stick, it was all sorry) They gave you one ticket to go up one time, when it should of been more like "walk up and help yourself". The event list an abundance of vendors who were participating some which were listed as food vendors but there was ""NO FOOD". How do you serve alcohol and have NO FOOD around (smh)??? It was the "talk"of the night and most of the people were all complaining about the same thing "NO fOOD"don't think I will attend this event again, make sure you eat before you go!

    Not what I expected

by Liz on 3/4/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

The title was Wine and Chocolate and there were two table that had chocolate. The setting was not inviting. More like a fair than an evening wine and chocolate. Would have liked to see dimmed lights and more tables for standing and sipping wine. Maybe that would have minimized people standing in lines forever.

Good vendors, decent wine & room for improvement.

by R on 2/17/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

I tried some okay wines and some really decent wines, I do wish there were more dry varieties as a lot of the vendors seemed to focus more on sweet wines. I also thought that by it being the wine and CHOCOLATE festival, there would've been more options. Granted, the chocolate served was delicious & I wish there wads an option to purchase more on top of the portions included with the price of the tickets. With all of that being said.. The place was crowded, lines long & very unorganized from the get go, both when entering the coliseum and once inside the festival. People skipping in line, telling their life stories once it's their turn to begin sampling, in my opinion, there were just too many tickets sold, they should've capped the max. number of heads wayyy lower than it was at the 1-4pm (and i'm sure the later option was also crowded) for people to get their moneys worth. Not a bad experience overall, but I wouldn't do it again.

Great idea but not the best execution

by SC on 2/17/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

The lines were insanely long, I stood in line for 45 mins waiting to get wine, and then after getting my first glass, I found out we had to oh for it? I was under the impression the tickets allowed us to have full glasses of wine to sample from the wineries, but no. We had to pay $5 for a small glass of wine on top of the tickets. There was one place that offered chocolate, and that was super disappointing considering the name of the festival was the wine and chocolate festival. It should have just been called the sip and local vendor festival. I assumed there would be more than just 1 place that sold chocolate, and they were cool. The festival gave us tickets to redeem for free chocolate, and I was excited but when I got there it was just 3 tiny pieces on a napkin. I thought that we would actually be able to have more than 3 tiny samples of chocolate provided by the festival. Also, cheese definitely should have been offered.

    Terrible

by TonyJ on 2/15/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Everyone around us complained about the lack of chocolate. 3 pieces when you first walked in with no wine. Waited in lines for 30 minutes for a few small sips of wine and then run out at 4:00 so the next group could get ripped off. 2.5 hours to pass by street vendors not wineries or chocolate really? We only made it half way through. I bought 4 tickets for $192. What a waste of time and money.

    Not worth the price

by Jennifer A on 2/15/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

I do not think the Wine and Chocolate Fest was worth what I paid for tickets. My husband and I went with another couple my best friend and her husband, we did have a good time, but not worth the amount I paid for 2 tickets. You had to wait in line to sample the any of the wine. When we first got there we wait 15 minutes just to get through the doors into where the vendors were. The wine vendors need to bring more people to work their area instead of making people wait another 15-20 minutes just to sample the wine and see if it is liked. You could get through the other vendors just selling other items, but the most of the patrons were there for the wine. What really got me was being told to get out when we were talking to a vendor, but as we were leaving there were still lines at the wine vendors and no one telling them to leave. This may have been my first and last experience. You want my honest review you got it, low the cost of the event I may come back.

    Long waits, poorly organized

by Jason on 2/14/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Waited in line for 40 minutes to get in the event after event started (event was only a 3 hour event). After entering, there were long lines for every wine tasting which inhibited us from enjoying the other vendors and attractions. Disappointed.

    decent

by SM on 2/14/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

I enjoyed talking with the vendors and wine sampling. It was very very slim on chocolate. I don’t think chocolate should have been in the title at all. There was literally not one place to sit. There were no vendors selling actual food so there was nothing to eat. The wine portion was fun and some interesting wines to try.

    Better than expected

by DFL on 2/14/23Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

We were at the front of the line to get in and it was very unorganized. Apparently, no one thought to bring a scanner so they started reviewing tickets manually. Once inside things ran relatively smooth. I would recommend having chocolate samples down each aisle vs giving it to guests as soon as they walk in. By the time we were midway through mine had melted from holding it in my hand.
